Sigma Draconis
The Sigma Draconis (also designated 18 Draconis or Alsafi) is a K-type main-sequence star located approximately 18.8 light-years from Earth in the constellation Draco. In exopolitics and extraterrestrial contact research, Sigma Draconis is identified in multiple accounts as the location of non-human civilisations: in Elena Danaan's compiled species catalogue as the homeworld of the Giansar branch of the Alpha Draconian Empire, and in accounts surrounding Dan Burisch and the Majestic 12 programme as a system linked to the J-Rod beings who worked with American government scientists at S-4, Nevada.
Astronomical Profile
Sigma Draconis is a K0 main-sequence star with a surface temperature cooler than the Sun, a mass of approximately 0.87 solar masses, and a luminosity of roughly 0.43 times solar. Its estimated age of approximately 1.58 billion years makes it comparatively young for a star of this spectral class. As a stable K-dwarf with near-solar characteristics it has appeared on multiple SETI candidate-star lists as a plausible host for habitable planets. No confirmed planets had been detected around Sigma Draconis as of 2026.
The name Alsafi derives from Arabic astronomical tradition; the Danaan accounts use the designation Tiphon Giansar for the star and the civilisation associated with it.
The Giansar Reptiloids
In Elena Danaan's compiled extraterrestrial species catalogue, Sigma Draconis is the homeworld of the Giansar -- one of three primary Reptilian populations constituting the Alpha Draconian Empire. The three home-systems of the empire are Alpha Draconis (Thuban-Anwar, the imperial capital), Sigma Draconis (Tiphon Giansar), and Epsilon Draconis (Grumium Eltanin).
The Giansar are described as four to five feet tall with elongated faces, tails, and yellowish to green lizard skin. When operating on Earth they wear dark hooded robes or cloaks to conceal their saurian features.
Among Reptilian species associated with the Draconis systems, the Giansar are identified as occupying a dimension-hopping priest or sorcerer-class role within the broader Reptiloid hierarchy. They are described as psychic predators who feed on human emotional and auric energy -- a form of vampirism accomplished through proximity -- and as practitioners of dark magical and ritual operations.
The Giansar are described as utilising dark rituals to create openings in the fabric of space-time between their dimensional plane and the third dimension, enabling the anchoring of non-physical entities in the physical world. The prescribed counter-measure is internal spiritual development and cultivation of light rather than physical confrontation.
Sigma Draconis in the Alpha Draconian Empire
According to Elena Danaan, the Alpha Draconian Empire has colonised over 500 planets and maintained a presence on thousands more. The three Draconis home-systems represent the imperial heartland. Sigma Draconis functions as the base of the Giansar caste -- the psychic and occult-operations wing -- distinct from Alpha Draconis as seat of imperial government and military command.
The Draco reptilian invasion methodology described by Danaan relies on sending enslaved subsidiary species -- particularly Zeta Reticuli and Solipsi Rai Greys -- as advance emissaries to target worlds, disguising the true invasion intent behind humanitarian-sounding genetic-assistance narratives. Once treaty agreements are secured from indigenous planetary leaders, the Draco reptilians reveal themselves as the power behind the arrangement. Danaan applies this template to the 1954 agreements between extraterrestrials and the American government, in which the Greys who made initial contact were operating as Draco reptilians proxies.
The J-Rod Accounts and Dan Burisch
A distinct exopolitical tradition links Sigma Draconis to the J-Rod beings -- small Grey extraterrestrials at the centre of Dan Burisch's testimony regarding classified work conducted at S-4, Nevada, under the Majestic 12 programme. Burisch claimed to have been a microbiologist who worked with a J-Rod entity designated Chi'el'ah. In secondary analyses of the Burisch testimony, J-Rods have been placed in genealogical relationship with species originating from Sigma Draconis or nearby systems -- understood as a future divergent Grey lineage -- though Burisch himself did not make this identification in his surviving statements.
In his written response to Michael Salla's published analysis of his case, according to Burisch, J-Rods and Greys were the extraterrestrials at the centre of his work, while declining to endorse the broader Galactic Federation of Worlds framework offered by other researchers.
Burisch also referenced the Tau-9 Conference for the Preservation of Humanity as an exclusively human-focused event aimed at resolving crises generated by human decisions rather than alien participation, and framed his work as a contribution to human welfare rather than to any extraterrestrial political agenda.
SETI and Disclosure Context
Sigma Draconis has appeared on SETI candidate-star lists since the 1970s owing to its near-solar spectral type and close proximity. Researchers including Carl Sagan included it in lists of plausible electromagnetic search targets for extraterrestrial intelligence. In the UAP disclosure context of the 2020s, the Draconis constellation and its associated star systems have attracted renewed attention from researchers correlating ancient Reptilian mythological traditions with modern witness testimony and Danaan's species catalogue.
Sigma Draconis occupies a specific role in this framework as the stellar address for a category of entity characterised not primarily by physical power but by psychic manipulation and occult interdimensional operations -- the "sorcerer class" of the Reptilian hierarchy. This framing intersects with longstanding esoteric and religious traditions associating serpent or dragon entities with occult knowledge and manipulation, which researchers such as Jason Jorjani have analysed as evidence for a persistent non-human presence of this character across world cultures and historical periods.
Draco reptilians operational structure
The Alpha Draconian Empire's use of Sigma Draconis as one of its three home systems is part of a broader imperial strategy that extends well beyond the Draconis constellation. In an interview about human-looking extraterrestrials, Elena Danaan described the scope of the threat posed by the Draco reptilians: "We are talking about the Alpha Draconian Empire from Alpha Draconis and working with the reptilian collective based in Orion," noting that "either that we say the reptilian collective or the Alpha Draconian Empire, it's basically the same people." This description positions Sigma Draconis — with its Giansar sorcerer caste — as one component of a unified imperial apparatus spanning the Draconis, Orion, and Cygnus regions.
