Rak

The Rak (singular Raki) are a non-human species from Ozmog in the Vulpecula constellation — small humanoids with reptiloid legs, blueish skin, and tentacles protruding from the back of the head, described as quite wild and aggressive. Members of the Galactic Federation of Worlds, they are no longer interested in Terra.

Earth visits

The Rak visited Terra five times; their brief presence in the Middle East gave rise to the myth of Jinns, as local mythologies described them as inhabitants of an unseen parallel-dimension world — though the actual truth was that they inhabited no such separate dimension, merely keeping enough distance that indigenous peoples could not understand their origin. They ultimately ceased visiting because their immune system could not cope with Terra's environmental conditions; the last recorded visit was in (T) year 712.

The cessation of Rak visits in 712 (T) places the last recorded contact firmly within the early medieval period on Terra — a moment coinciding with the early spread of Islam through the Middle East and the consolidation of Arabic-language cosmological traditions in which the Jinn occupied a significant theological role. The Rak's small stature and blueish coloration, combined with their erratic and aggressive behavior, would have been legible to observers in the region as supernatural entities — consistent with later Quranic and hadith elaborations of the Jinn as beings created from "smokeless fire" inhabiting an invisible dimension alongside humanity. The Russian Alien Races Book, an alleged KGB document compiled between 1946 and 2013, also catalogues the Rak in summary-table form as a species that "stopped visiting due to immune issues" and "created myth of Jinn/Genies" — agreeing with the AGFTS account on both the immune-incompatibility cessation and the Jinn-mythology origin, though without the AGFTS's constellation-of-origin or physical description.

Physiognomy

The Rak are notable for a hybrid morphology that combines elements of both humanoid and reptiloid biology. Their legs are explicitly reptiloid in structure — a feature unusual among the catalogue species in Vulpecula, which otherwise includes the fully Grey-type Moovianthan Ka-Y Phixaka from NGC 6940. Their blueish skin — distinct from the grey, green, or brown coloring of most reptiloid and Grey species — and the tentacles emerging from the back of the head mark them as physiologically unique even within the broader catalogue. The tentacles are described as emerging from the posterior cranial region rather than the face, suggesting a sensory or communicative function distinct from standard humanoid nervous structures. Their aggressive, "wild" temperament may reflect a species that did not develop highly centralized social organization prior to reaching the level of civilization required for GFW membership — unusual in a federation that typically admits species with established diplomatic protocols.

The Rak occupy a catalogue position in the Vulpecula constellation immediately following the Moovianthan Ka-Y Phixaka — a Small Grey collective from NGC 6940 aligned with the Orion Alliance — illustrating the diversity of species within a single constellation region, spanning members of both the Galactic Federation of Worlds and adversarial alliances.

The Vulpecula constellation section in Elena Danaan's catalogue immediately precedes the general introductory chapter on Grey-type species, which opens with a taxonomy of 27 Grey races that have interacted with Terra. The AGFTS text there notes that "only 27 are involved with visiting Terra, and 22 play an active part for very diverse motives" — and the Rak's position at the close of the main species-by-constellation catalogue marks them as the last individually profiled species before that broader Grey introduction. This placement reflects the transitional nature of the Rak: a humanoid-reptiloid hybrid that shares certain physiological traits with Grey-type species (small size, distinct skin coloring) while remaining categorically distinct from them by virtue of their non-grey coloring and hybrid leg morphology.

The Rak are listed among the 22 Grey or Grey-associated species known to have actively interacted with Terra — one of only 27 Grey-type species with any recorded visit to Earth, most of which ceased contact for various reasons unrelated to the broader ongoing GFW-Alpha Draconian Empire conflict.

Ozmog

Ozmog is the Rak homeworld within the Vulpecula constellation. No orbital parameters or stellar classification for the Ozmog system are provided in the primary source. The name places the world within a constellation that in Terran astronomy contains the relatively compact stellar cluster NGC 6940 — home also to the Moovianthan Ka-Y Phixaka — and a variety of star systems at distances ranging from a few hundred to over a thousand light years from Terra. The Rak's immune incompatibility with Terra's environment implies that Ozmog's atmosphere, microbiology, or radiation profile differs substantially enough from Terra's that extended surface exposure proved physiologically untenable. Whether this incompatibility is a product of atmospheric chemistry, microbial load, electromagnetic conditions, or gravitational difference is not specified.
