Project Avalon
Project Avalon is an alternative media platform and community founded by Bill Ryan as an independent continuation of the research network he originally co-founded with Kerry Cassidy under the name Project Camelot in 2006. After Ryan and Cassidy separated their collaboration around 2010, Ryan launched Project Avalon as a dedicated forum and interview platform focusing on whistleblower testimony, consciousness research, timeline intelligence, and deep-state geopolitics. The Project Avalon forums became one of the largest English-language online communities for researchers working outside the boundaries of mainstream academia and journalism.
Origins: Project Camelot
Project Avalon's roots lie in Project Camelot, which Bill Ryan and Kerry Cassidy began in Laughlin, Nevada in March 2006. Their shared mission was to record and distribute interviews with individuals claiming insider knowledge of secret government programmes, extraterrestrial contact, advanced technology suppression, and related topics. Operating on shoestring budgets with consumer video equipment, Ryan and Cassidy produced long-form interview sessions that they posted freely online, building an audience of hundreds of thousands within a few years.
The earliest and most notable interviews produced under the Project Camelot banner included sessions with Dan Burisch, a microbiologist who claimed to have worked on extraterrestrial J-Rod entities recovered from craft incidents; Bob Dean, a retired NATO command sergeant major who described witnessing a classified cosmic threat assessment document; Robert Dean; David Wilcock; and dozens of other claimants from military, intelligence, and scientific backgrounds. The Camelot model — no editing, no time limits, full recorded sessions — gave witnesses an rare platform to share extended testimony in their own words.
The Dan Burisch Sessions
Among the most consequential interviews in the early Camelot era were the sessions with Dan Burisch (also known as Danny Crain), arranged through veteran researcher Bill Hamilton. Ryan described the process of accessing Burisch as unexpectedly straightforward — Hamilton offered to make the introduction, and Burisch appeared at a meeting in Los Angeles with a large stack of documentary evidence supporting his claims.
Ryan and Cassidy went on to meet with Burisch repeatedly over subsequent years, building what Ryan described as a close personal relationship. In December 2007, following a six-month classified assignment during which Burisch was unreachable, the three met for a five-hour dinner session in Las Vegas during which Burisch disclosed details of a classified programme using a time-viewing device called Looking Glass. According to Ryan's later account, Burisch stated that the most probable timeline forecast by the Looking Glass programme — designated Timeline One, Version 83 — projected a Hillary Clinton presidential victory in 2008 followed by a global financial collapse and nuclear conflict. When those events did not materialise, Ryan took it as evidence that the predicted timeline had been altered.
Separation and the Founding of Project Avalon
Around 2010, Ryan and Cassidy parted ways professionally. The specific circumstances of the split were never publicly detailed in full, though Ryan later indicated there were substantive differences in research philosophy and approach. Cassidy retained the Project Camelot name and brand and continued producing interviews and commentary under that label. Ryan launched Project Avalon as a distinct successor entity, placing particular emphasis on its online forum community, which he positioned as a collaborative research space rather than a personality-driven media channel.
The Project Avalon forum attracted a substantial membership drawn from across the alternative research spectrum — UFO investigators, remote viewers, consciousness researchers, political dissidents, and former intelligence figures who wished to share information without the exposure of on-camera interviews. Ryan moderated the community actively and also continued producing occasional video interviews, though at a lower frequency than during the peak Camelot years.
Notable Project Avalon Interviews
Following the separation, Ryan conducted several high-profile interviews under the Project Avalon banner. Among the most discussed was a long session with a contact Ryan referred to simply as "Charles" — an individual who claimed to be a time-traveller or an artificial intelligence operating from a future timeframe, providing information about upcoming geopolitical disruptions and the structure of long-range control systems shaping human civilisation. The interview attracted significant attention within the alternative research community for its articulate and internally consistent account of how future-viewing technology was being used by deep-state actors to manage historical outcomes.
Ryan also conducted an extended interview series with Bill Wood, also known as Bill Brockbrader, a claimant who said he had served as a Navy SEAL remote viewer on a programme that used Looking Glass technology operationally. Wood's testimony about Looking Glass overlapped substantially with what Burisch had told Ryan years earlier, lending cross-corroborative weight to elements of both accounts.
The Project Avalon forum also provided a platform for discussion of Corey Goode's early disclosures about the Secret Space Programme before those accounts became more widely known through other channels.
Research Philosophy
Ryan articulated a consistent research philosophy across the Camelot and Avalon years: a commitment to recording testimony as presented without editorial gatekeeping, on the grounds that listeners and researchers were better served by access to raw testimony — including internally inconsistent or unverifiable claims — than by a pre-filtered selection. He distinguished between "believing" sources and treating them as important data points worthy of documentation. In Ryan's framing, even false or confused testimony often contained signal-level information about genuine programmes and events that witnesses might be misremembering, misattributing, or deliberately obscuring.
Ryan also maintained an emphasis on what he described as positive futures — arguing, based on the Looking Glass testimony and his own intuitions about the trajectory of global events, that the direst predicted timelines had been averted or were in the process of being averted by influences operating outside the visible control structure.
Project Camelot After the Split
Kerry Cassidy continued Project Camelot as an independent platform, maintaining a prolific output of interviews with new and returning witnesses. Cassidy's post-split approach became notably more politically engaged, incorporating her own commentary on geopolitical events alongside witness testimony. Project Camelot also became one of the earliest and most consistent platforms for discussion of the Secret Space Programme as described by claimants including Michael Schratt, Andrew Basiago, and later Corey Goode and David Wilcock.
The two platforms — Project Camelot and Project Avalon — remained separate but thematically adjacent, with significant audience overlap and ongoing cross-references in the alternative research community.
Legacy
Project Avalon and its predecessor Project Camelot occupy a foundational position in the alternative disclosure research ecosystem. The interview archive produced under both brands represents one of the most extensive bodies of extended witness testimony on record regarding UFO crash retrievals, secret space programmes, Looking Glass time technology, extraterrestrial contact, and related classified programmes. Researchers including Michael Salla, Richard Dolan, and others have cited Camelot/Avalon interviews as primary source material in their own published works.
The forum model Ryan developed at Project Avalon — emphasising peer-to-peer researcher collaboration alongside curated interview content — influenced the design of subsequent alternative research communities and the broader online ecosystem of disclosure-oriented media that emerged in the 2010s and 2020s.
Ryan's description of the December 2007 Las Vegas dinner with Dan Burisch — in which Burisch disclosed the Looking Glass programme's forecast of a Hillary Clinton 2008 presidential victory followed by global financial collapse and nuclear conflict — was preserved in a private 2019 recording released on YouTube by The Burisch Archive, representing one of the most detailed first-hand accounts of the Project Camelot/Avalon research process. Ryan stated that as soon as the dinner concluded he wrote down everything he could recall, producing the long summary page published on Project Camelot under the designation T1v83, and that Timeline One Version 83 — the most probable future forecast — showed a Clinton victory followed by catastrophic global events that never materialised, which Ryan took as evidence that the timeline had been altered by external influences.
Kerry Cassidy's ongoing work after the split
Following the separation from Ryan, Cassidy continued Project Camelot's witness interview programme and described her research approach in a 2024 interview as one of direct ongoing dialogue with insider and whistleblower contacts — including, she stated, regular written communication with the individual known as Juan O Savin, whom she described as responding to her messages until his apparent concern about violating his security oath caused him to stop. Among the Project Camelot interviews Cassidy cited in 2024 as continuing to be significant was a session conducted in Russia with a young man she described as the "Russian kid from Mars" — an interviewee she named as Boris, who reported having lived on Mars as a soldier and retained detailed memories of it through his childhood.
Project Camelot's relationship to the Disclosure Project
In the 2009 Project Camelot interview with Steven Greer, Kerry Cassidy described the relationship between Project Camelot and the earlier Disclosure Project as one of direct continuation: Cassidy stated that a large proportion of the emails Project Camelot received asked them to interview Greer precisely because their audience saw Camelot as "continuing to kick the ball that was kicked off by the Disclosure Project back in 1993." The interview — conducted on 26 July 2009 at a session both Ryan and Cassidy attended — also reflected an early difference in approach between the two organisations: Cassidy questioned Greer directly on points where Project Camelot's research philosophy diverged from the Disclosure Project's more structured witness programme.
