Lacerta
Lacerta is a female reptilian entity who identified herself as one of Earth's "native terrans" — a reptilian lineage that evolved from dinosaur ancestors and has inhabited subterranean environments since an alien-caused catastrophe approximately 65 million years ago — and is the alleged subject of The Lacerta Files, a pair of documents purporting to be transcripts of interviews conducted in December 1999 and April 2000 by a Swedish researcher identified only as "E.F.", with a second name "Ole K." associated with the documents' distribution. That catastrophe was not a natural asteroid impact but a deliberate detonation: "a special kind of fusion bomb" that created "deadly radiation, an over-production of fusion-oxygen" and "a nuclear winter for nearly 200 years," driving surviving reptilians underground where they continued to evolve.
In the interviews, Lacerta described a non-human engineering of the human species by a group she called the "Illojim" — tall, pale, blonde humanoids from the Aldebaran star system who "wanted to evolve the apes to a new breed," returned to Earth multiple times, and created seven successive human civilizations over roughly 700,000 years before departing approximately 4,943 years ago. The word "Illojim" is noted by editors of the files as possibly equivalent to "Elohim" in Western religious tradition, though Lacerta uses only the "Illojim" term. She also stated that 14 alien species are currently active on Earth — "11 from this universe, 2 from another 'bubble' and 1 very advanced from a very different plain" — of which three are hostile, engaged in abductions and resource extraction.

Lacerta provided extensive descriptions of her species' physiology, underground civilization, technology, paranormal abilities, and mimicry capability — content documented in the Earth-native reptilians article. Key points include: pale green-beige skin with brown dot patterns; oviparous reproduction; thermoregulatory spinal plates; obligate carnivory; cities in large cave systems beneath the Arctic, Antarctic, Inner Asia, North America, and Australia; craft propulsion exploiting a fourth aggregate condition of matter (the Feldraum); telepathic mimicry allowing the species to appear human on the surface; and direct but secret diplomatic contact with human governments.
The Illojim and seven civilisations

Lacerta provided an account of human origins centered on the "Illojim" — tall, pale, blonde humanoids from Aldebaran who created seven successive human civilizations over ~700,000 years before departing abruptly ~4,943 years ago. The Illojim programmed each human breed to regard Lacerta's species as "evil," identifying themselves as "powers of light" — programming Lacerta described as still active.
Alien species currently active on Earth
Lacerta described 14 alien species active on Earth at the time of the 1999 interview — 11 from this universe, 2 from another "bubble," and 1 from "a very different plain" — of which three are hostile, engaged in abductions for genetic material collection and hybrid creation.
Distinction from off-world reptilians
According to Dr. Michael Salla in a February 2024 Exopolitics Today episode, "Earth based indigenous Reptilians" who use cigar-shaped craft are a distinct group from the off-world Draco reptilians (Draco Reptilians), who use different craft designs; conflating the two is a common analytical error. Salla further notes the Vedic tradition's Naga and the Biblical "serpent people" as probable references to this Earth-native lineage, distinct from off-world reptilian actors.
The Farsight Institute study involved four independent remote viewers examining the 1999 Ole K. contact case; all four, according to Salla, "described the Reptilians, the female Reptilians interacting with this human subject" and reported the contact as genuine, corroborating the content of the interview.

Reptilian complexity and abduction testimony
LA Marzulli, an investigator of Nephilim and alien contact phenomena, characterized the reptilian presence on Earth as "a very complex phenomenon" involving direct physical interactions with human abductees — citing the testimony of Karen Wilkinson, who reported being taken by reptilian beings from the age of six, bearing three children by them, and identifying her "handler on the ship" as a reptilian entity.
Within the Cosmic Agency contact tradition, Swaruu of Erra described the reptilian species on Earth as having lost their advanced technology approximately 12,500 years ago following a pole shift catastrophe, after which they "started to use the very mechanics of the matrix to entrap the remaining humans on Earth with the mind control" — a gradual process spanning millennia, enabled by their extended lifespans.
