Densities of consciousness
Densities of consciousness are the successive levels of conscious evolution set out in the Law of One cosmology relayed through the Ra material. In this framework — a channeled, esoteric account not recognized by mainstream science — existence is not divided sharply between the conscious and the inert but graded into a series of "densities," through which consciousness is said to ascend toward reunion with the One Infinite Creator.
A density is described as a level of awareness and vibration rather than a coordinate of space or time. On this account it is distinguished from a dimension: a dimension measures extension, whereas a density measures the development of consciousness itself.
The densities
- First density — the density of the elements (earth, air, fire, and water); minerals and the basic matter of a world.
- Second density — the density of growth and movement: plant and animal life developing toward self-awareness.
- Third density — the density of self-awareness and free choice, held to be that of present-day humanity, in which a being chooses a path of service to others or service to self.
- Fourth density — the density of love and understanding, said to be that of many of the non-human intelligent being civilizations described in contact accounts.
- Fifth density — the density of wisdom and light.
- Sixth density — the density of unity, in which the two paths of service are said to merge; the source claimed for the Ra material itself.
- Seventh density — the gateway density, of completion and the turning back toward the Creator.
- An eighth density is said to begin the next octave of experience.
In UFO and disclosure literature
The scheme recurs across UFO and disclosure writing, where advanced craft and their occupants are frequently described as operating from "higher densities," and it underlies the treatment of consciousness as fundamental in accounts of exotic physics and consciousness-responsive technology. Like the rest of the Law of One material, the model is an article of belief within these communities rather than an established scientific account.
