Inner Earth

Inner Earth — also called Agartha, Shambhala, or the Hollow Earth in different traditions — refers in exopolitics and contact testimony to an alleged inhabited subterranean layer of Earth reportedly housing ancient pre-Lyran-era humanoid civilizations that have purportedly existed underground for hundreds of thousands to millions of years, in some accounts predating the arrival of surface humans. Corey Goode's extended contact with what he designates the "Inner Earth Alliance" — a confederation of seven distinct underground civilizations — represents the most detailed recent account of Inner Earth contact, including a meeting arranged through the SSP Alliance at a subterranean library facility under the Himalayas.

Inner Earth civilizations

Goode describes seven distinct Inner Earth civilizations encountered in his meetings, varying in age, appearance, and galactic affiliation. The oldest groups — pre-dating surface human civilization by millions of years — are described as tall, fair-skinned humanoids who regard surface humans as a young and volatile species to be cautiously monitored. More recent underground groups include descendants of ancient surface civilizations (including pre-Flood Atlantean remnants) that retreated underground during cataclysmic surface events.

Agarthan civilization

Craig Campobasso's independent almanac provides an extensive account of Agarthan civilization, describing 120 subterranean cities whose "unified mission is to help us realize our fully conscious selves and ascend." The inner Earth civilizations hold that "every planet is hollow and advanced civilizations live in the interior of those worlds. They also say the sun is hollow." Campobasso describes Agarthan technology as including "silver fleets" of discus-shaped survey craft using "amino-based organic computer systems classified as conscious entities at the avatar level," electromagnetic vehicles and bullet trains connecting underground cities, and artificial sunlight generated by coupling crystals with electromagnetism. The polar openings are described as "protected from unwanted visitors by a magnetic force field and camouflaged with cloud covering" — wide enough for "Agarthans' largest motherships to glide into Earth's interior with grace and ease."

Hollow Earth tradition

The idea of an inhabited hollow interior of Earth appears across multiple cultures: the Norse Svartalheim, the Hindu Patala, the Buddhist Shambhala, the Sumerian Kur, and various indigenous traditions of underground peoples. John Cleves Symmes Jr. petitioned the U.S. Congress in 1823 for a North Pole expedition to find the polar openings allegedly connecting the surface to the interior. The 20th-century Hollow Earth tradition was systematized by writers including Richard Byrd (in his alleged diary accounts) and Rodney Dale Cluff, providing the modern framework within which SSP contact accounts situate the Inner Earth entities.

UAP craft of Inner Earth origin

Michael Salla proposes three categories of craft visible in UAP phenomena: genuinely extraterrestrial vehicles; reverse-engineered human craft; and vehicles allegedly originating from Inner Earth civilizations. In Salla's analysis, those "in the know" — classified program insiders — understand this tripartite distinction, while public UAP disclosure efforts have focused primarily on the extraterrestrial and human-made categories, leaving the Inner Earth component largely unaddressed in official acknowledgment.

Anunnaki-era connections

Stewart Swerdlow, in his account of cosmic and Earth history, describes Inner Earth civilizations as allegedly having origins connected to planetary catastrophes: survivors of the destruction of Mars relocated to what he calls the "inner world" of Mars and later to Earth's subterranean layers, arriving before and during major surface cataclysms that destroyed advanced surface civilizations.

Nazi Ahnenerbe expeditions

Explorer Brad Olsen documents that the Nazi Ahnenerbe — the SS institute for ancestral research — sent expeditions to Tibet specifically to gather information on "a high-tech civilization that lives under the Tibetan Plateau, better known as Shangri-La or Shambhala or Agartha," and that the intelligence gathered from these missions directly accelerated the 1938–39 German Antarctic expedition: "And when they came back, the Ernest Schäffer expedition of 1937 and 1938, the Germans couldn't put together their expedition down to Antarctica any quicker than they did. There was an urgency to getting down there."

Reported modern contact

In a series of alleged 2022–2023 military missions in Florida, JP describes encountering inner Earth beings with blue-grey skin, circular mouths, slit nostrils, large eyes, and antenna-like skin protrusions on their heads, identified by Michael Salla as consistent with the Ant People of Native American tradition. These beings maintained a cavern city accessed through a round carved door in the forest floor, containing garden chambers, a spaceport stocked with hundreds of craft, and Nordic personnel in Air Force-style uniforms who oversaw operations. On a second mission, the beings provided glowing tubes of liquid — red, blue, light blue, and grey — described as extracted from their garden plants, intended to help seeds they had previously given to the military germinate more rapidly. The beings also displayed tracking capability for any biological material they had shared with humans: "They have a technology that can track where these seeds go... everything is connected."

Density model of the Inner Earth

Michael Salla and Gene Decode discuss the structural model of the Inner Earth proposed by Romanian intelligence operative Radu Cinamar (a pseudonym), whose book Inner Earth describes the planet as comprising ascending density levels as one moves toward the core. In Cinamar's model, the outer layers correspond to lower-density physical reality; the inner mantle and core approach a hollow region surrounding an inner sun — described as analogous to a black hole — where the highest-density civilizations reside. Salla interprets this as aligning Shambhala/Agartha traditions: "as you get closer and closer to the interior, you get the more highly evolved races like the Shambhala, kind of more towards the center of the earth where the higher density is." Gene Decode adds that this model connects to the tunnel network he designates the "Agarth network" — an ancient civilization that retreated underground during a surface cataclysm, with access points in the Himalayas, Egypt, and also beneath Antarctica where post-WWII bases were constructed leading into the inner earth.

Proposed role in galactic diplomacy

In a 2025 interview, Salla argues that Inner Earth civilizations are purportedly uniquely positioned to advise humanity on galactic diplomacy precisely because of their long observation of surface history. Having witnessed multiple surface civilizations infiltrated, taken over, and destroyed by negative extraterrestrial races, they have developed an unmatched ability to recognize deception: "they've been through it all; they've watched civilizations get infiltrated, taken over, destroyed by negative ET races so they can be better advisors on that." Salla recommends that any Earth decision to align with a galactic federation should first consult the Inner Earth civilizations — those "in communion or resonating with the consciousness of the planet of Gaia" — rather than proceeding solely on the basis of representations from off-planet groups. The inner earth beings are described as already making contact with individual humans who have sufficiently expanded their awareness: "they see you come online and if that's your intention they'll communicate with you."
