Project Ibis (also styled Project IBIS) is an alleged classified programme named within UFO and secret space program disclosure communities, where it is consistently associated with Project Looking Glass timeline-viewing technology. The designation does not appear in any declassified government record and is attested almost exclusively through anonymous online disclosure material and a small number of secret space programme "experiencer" accounts. As a result, what little is claimed about Project Ibis is poorly documented, confined to a single disclosure subculture, and unverified by any independent source.

Origins in the Looking Glass disclosures

The Ibis name circulated principally through a long-running thread titled "Project IBIS and Looking Glass disclosures" hosted on the Project Avalon forum, an offshoot of the Project Camelot disclosure network. The thread compiled anonymous claims tying an alleged programme code-named Ibis to the Looking Glass apparatus said to view probable futures, and framed Ibis as one of a cluster of interrelated black programmes rather than a standalone effort. Because the material was posted pseudonymously and never accompanied by documentary evidence, the disclosures have remained unverifiable and are treated even within the disclosure community as uncorroborated.

Secret space program accounts

The Ibis designation was revived in later secret space program discussion, most visibly in a 2024 episode of the Typical Skeptic Podcast featuring the self-described experiencers Arkheim Ra and John Whitberg together with Christy Campbell, which discussed "Looking Glass tech" alongside alleged programmes named Ibis and "Surrogate." In these accounts Ibis is placed within the broader super soldier and Montauk Project milieu rather than the conventional crash-retrieval literature; participants reportedly characterised it as a covert programme concerned with the long-term tracking of selected individuals and their alleged "extraterrestrial DNA," running in parallel with the separately named "Surrogate" effort said to involve MILAB-style experimentation. Whitberg, who frames his own claimed service around memories of "Projects Phoenix and Looking Glass," presents Ibis as adjacent to that timeline-manipulation work.

Assessment

The evidentiary basis for Project Ibis is minimal. The name surfaces only in anonymous forum disclosures and in secret space programme testimony, with no declassified document, named whistleblower of record, or mainstream reporting confirming that a programme of this designation exists. Its meaning is unstable across the few sources that use it, the only consistent feature being its rhetorical attachment to Project Looking Glass. On the available evidence Ibis is best understood as a term of internet disclosure lore rather than an established programme. It is unrelated to the documented work of Dan Burisch, whose alleged S-4 activity is described under the separate designations Project Aquarius, Project Lotus and Looking Glass and does not reference an "Ibis" project.
