The Link bracelet teleportation demonstrations were a series of occasions, between approximately 2000 and 2013, on which the contactee Jonathan Reed reportedly used the Link bracelet — the alleged extraterrestrial artifact he said he had recovered at the 1996 forest incident — to teleport himself or others. The accounts range from a private hotel-room activation witnessed by the investigator Daniel McEvoy and two unidentified men to a disappearance staged before a live studio audience during Reed's Mexican television appearances at the invitation of the broadcaster Jaime Maussan. Reed and his associates cited the demonstrations as the primary first-hand evidence for the bracelet's claimed teleportation and telepathic communication capabilities.

No independent observer is recorded as having witnessed a successful activation: the private demonstrations were seen only by McEvoy and by men who were never identified, while the one public instance — an on-camera vanishing and reappearance — became the most-reproduced and most-disputed piece of evidence in the case. Those who regard it as fabricated read the footage as an edited studio effect rather than a genuine teleportation, and note that, by Reed's own account, the bracelet functions only when its unseen "owners" permit, so that its frequent failures to activate cannot be independently tested.[citation needed]

Hotel room demonstration

The earliest and most fully described demonstration reportedly took place in a hotel room that McEvoy travelled some twelve hours to reach at Reed's request, where the two were joined by two unidentified men whom McEvoy described as Caucasian businessmen in suits, apparently in their forties. According to McEvoy, the men asked Reed whether he was prepared, and one of them produced the Link artifact wrapped in a blue foam rubber material and handed it to Reed, who warned that "no matter what happens, nobody's allowed to leave the room" before unwrapping it.

Reed placed the bracelet on his arm and pressed it down, McEvoy said, visibly wincing from the three needles on its underside; the device then changed from its normal silver appearance to a frosted state "like a cold mug you cut out of the freezer." Reed then pressed several of the symbols on the bracelet's exterior — described elsewhere as functioning as control buttons — and began vibrating "uncontrollably, almost like a paint shaker," before appearing to vanish from the chair.

McEvoy said he waved his hand across the empty chair to confirm that Reed was physically absent, and that Reed was gone for roughly 10 to 15 seconds before reappearing in the chair. The only observers of the activation were McEvoy and the two men, who were never identified, leaving it without any independently verifiable record. Upon Reed's return, McEvoy reported, a small light appeared in the corner of the room and grew into a large luminous humanoid form "shimmering like gold" that appeared to engage in silent communication with Reed; McEvoy said he himself began receiving answers to questions he was only mentally formulating — a telepathic exchange he characterised as "warm and fuzzy... almost angelic."

McEvoy recounted the same event on the national broadcast Dreamland with Art Bell, where the host Art Bell asked directly, "So you actually saw him disappear and you saw him reappear?", and McEvoy replied, "Exactly." On the same programme, McEvoy likened the vibration to the phenomenon Reed had reported observing in the being Freddie during the forest incident, leading him to conclude it was "perhaps an inter-dimensional thing."
