Alien Retention and Interrogation Program

The Alien Retention and Interrogation Program (ARIP) is the name said by insiders to designate a clandestine United States program for the detention, care, and interrogation of non-human intelligent beings recovered from crashed or captured craft. According to the investigator Jon Stewart and the researcher Michael Salla, it operated beneath the Majestic 12 structure and the Project Aquarius umbrella, and is the program from which the alien interview video is said to originate.

By these accounts the program's detention facility was housed in the lower sublevels of S-2 Alpha ("Annex Two") at Papoose Lake, distinct from the S-4 reverse-engineering site associated with Bob Lazar. Detained beings were held in dedicated "retention suites" tailored to their biology — some pressurized with bespoke atmospheres — and the program operated under the Yankee White security designation, with the beings internally termed "SABRE" (Synthetic Astro-Biological Extraterrestrial Races). Where a being communicated by thought rather than speech, interrogation was said to be mediated by telepathic Carthusian monks recruited from the Mount Equinox monastery in Vermont. The program is also linked in these accounts to the detention of the being known as J-Rod, for whom a biosphere was said to have been built beneath the facility.
