John Warner IV

John Warner IV is an American author, racing driver, and UFO researcher whose father, John Warner III, served as Under Secretary of the Navy (1969–1972), United States Secretary of the Navy (1972–1974), and longtime U.S. Senator for Virginia. Having accompanied his father from approximately 1971 onward to Pentagon briefings, Navy facilities, military bases, and foreign capitals — including a 1990 visit to the Soviet space program outside Moscow — Warner IV claims direct family-level exposure to classified secret space program information and longstanding government knowledge of non-human craft recoveries. He was interviewed by Michael Salla for Exopolitics Today in March 2023.

Family background and access

Warner IV grew up in proximity to senior military and intelligence figures through his father's career. He states that Admiral Bobby Ray Inman — later linked by William Tompkins to secret space program contractor coordination — lived in their home for a year, giving Warner IV regular access to senior Navy officers and Pentagon staff from childhood. On his mother's side, his grandfather was Paul Mellon of the Mellon banking family, an OSS officer who served under William Donovan in World War II, knew Carl Jung (whom he and his wife Mary Mellon helped recruit to the OSS), and was personally acquainted with Werner von Braun and Allen Dulles.

Paul Mellon told Warner IV that while with Patton in Czechoslovakia in May 1945, he witnessed several hangars containing advanced German aerospace technology — jet engines, rockets, camera-guided missiles — and, in a separate hangar, a large disc-shaped aircraft that was not powered by conventional jet engines. Steven Greer, who has Warner IV on his disclosure team, corroborated this account and added that General George S. Patton wanted to disclose the electrogravitic disc publicly but was killed in an arranged automobile accident to prevent it: "Patton was going, this [is] amazing, what this would do for the world. No, no, this [is] going to be Deep Black. And he did not think that was the wisest thing to do. So they took him out, made it look like an automobile accident."

Warner IV also notes that his grandfather's brother-in-law, David K. E. Bruce, was OSS station chief of London, and that his grandfather personally helped finance the early CIA and NSA alongside the Rockefeller and DuPont families in the early 1950s.

Claims regarding Navy UFO knowledge

MJ-12 documents and his father's admission

In 1993, Warner IV showed his father the MJ-12 documents he had found on the internet. John Warner III initially said the Pentagon had told him they were a hoax, but after sustained questioning over several months, told his son that "most of them are the real deal," while advising him not to pursue the subject further because it was under Air Force and Navy national security control.

Underwater National Reconnaissance Office

Warner IV states his father was involved with the Underwater National Reconnaissance Office during his time as Secretary of the Navy, including visits to the naval facility at AUTEC in the Bahamas. He describes common knowledge within the Navy of unidentified submerged objects recovered from the ocean floor, and asserts that Navy vessels are equipped with back-engineered propulsion technologies derived from recovered non-human craft.

USS Enterprise sightings, 1995

While spending two nights aboard the USS Enterprise with his father off the South Carolina coast in approximately 1995, Warner IV states that crew members observed UAP on the horizon.

Soviet openness and JFK

During a 1990 CODEL trip with his father to meet Mikhail Gorbachev and visit the Soviet Space Agency outside Moscow, Warner IV asked Soviet military generals about UFO sightings and found them considerably more forthcoming than American counterparts. He endorses the assessment that John F. Kennedy was killed in part because he intended to share classified UFO files with the Soviets, and adds that Nazi aerospace scientists transplanted to the U.S. via Operation Paperclip had additional motive to prevent this sharing given their intense hostility toward the Soviet Union.

Disclosure context

Warner IV's cousin is Christopher Mellon, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and a prominent figure in the post-2017 UAP disclosure effort around the UAP Task Force. Warner IV is critical of this initiative as a controlled-disclosure exercise that obfuscates rather than reveals the full scope of the secret space program. On the subject of med beds, Warner IV reports one area of agreement with his cousin: "I know the med beds are real, I asked Chris Mellon about those and that was one thing we agreed on. Let's try to bring that." Steven Greer separately confirmed Warner IV's family connections, stating on The Resilient Show that "the former Senator John Warner, his son is on our team. He's — he was one of — Paul Mellon who was Senator Warner's first wife's father of the Mellon fortune helped start the CIA with Allen Dulles." He appeared in a Greer documentary and was interviewed by Michael Salla for the Exopolitics Today podcast, published 23 March 2023.
