Gregg Braden is an American author, scientist, and public speaker known for bridging ancient wisdom traditions with modern science, particularly in the areas of quantum physics, human consciousness, and human origins.
Biography
Braden trained as a geologist and worked as a civilian contractor for the United States Department of Defense during the Cold War, where he had access to research from Soviet scientists on human cellular biology. He later held a position as the first technology operations manager at Cisco Systems in 1990. He subsequently left corporate work to pursue research into ancient texts, indigenous traditions, and consciousness. He shares publisher Hay House with multiple contemporaries. Braden spent time leading groups to Tibetan monasteries from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s.

Research areas
Braden's work spans several interconnected subjects:
- Human chromosome 2 fusion — the telomere-to-telomere chromosomal fusion and simultaneous modification of human chromosome 7 approximately 200,000 years ago constitute evidence of intelligent genetic intervention rather than Darwinian evolution
- Heart-brain coherence — the Institute of HeartMath's model of deliberate 0.1 Hz synchronization between the heart's 40,000 sensory neurons and the brain, claimed to produce supercharged immune response, longevity enzyme activation, and heightened precognition
- The human body as soft technology — drawing on Soviet biophysics, describes every human cell as a gated circuit generating approximately 0.07 volts, with 50 trillion cells producing a combined 3.5 trillion volts of electrical potential, and argues that DNA functions as a distributed, immutable information-storage system mirroring blockchain technology
- Transhumanism — brain-computer interfaces, RFID implants, and AI-mediated decision-making threaten to atrophy the biological faculties defining human uniqueness, projecting that by 2032 most people will have technology embedded in their bodies
- Conscious universe and Gnostic texts — James Webb Space Telescope observations support models of a conscious, intelligent universe, and Sumerian, Akkadian, and indigenous records are scientific accounts of an earlier civilization whose suppression served institutional authority
- Climate — Earth is in a warming cycle but CO2 is not inherently dangerous; geological records of 1,000–2,000 ppm during abundant-life periods, and thorium reactor technology is the preferred alternative
Books
The 2024 book Pure Human: The Hidden Truth of Our Divinity, Power, and Destiny synthesizes these themes; contemporary humans carry encoded biological capabilities described in ancient texts as divine.
