The 1975 S-4 security incident was an alleged confrontation on May 1, 1975, in which United States military guards reportedly clashed with Grey extraterrestrial entities during a demonstration of a small antimatter reactor at the S-4 facility in Nevada. Two scientists and forty-one military personnel were killed; all human casualties died of head wounds with no visible weapon. The incident was disclosed by Michael Wolf, chairman of Majestic 12's Alphacom Team, during an official briefing attended by Colonel Etienne DuPont of the French Secret Service and Dr. Luke Bryce of MI6.

The demonstration

Two Reticulian Four entities — designated after their origin on Reticulum 4, the fourth planet of the Zeta Reticuli system — were demonstrating a 100 percent power-producing annihilation reaction in a relatively small antimatter reactor, bombarding a super-heavy element with protons. Two deep-cover scientists observed the demonstration. The power output far exceeded anything achievable by terrestrial nuclear weapons, which do not yield anything near 100 percent energy conversion.

The head Grey performing the demonstration requested that all rifles and especially the bullets in them be removed from the room — a safety precaution given the potential consequences of an accidental discharge during a display of such enormous energy. The colonel in charge of the Blue Beret security guards refused the request.

The confrontation

In the "chaotic disorder and commotion" that followed the refusal, a Blue Beret guard opened fire and killed one Grey. The remaining Greys then killed all forty-one military personnel and both scientists. Every human died of head wounds — "damaged and dysfunctional brain matter" — and no alien weapon was seen by the single guard left alive.

Wolf theorized that the Greys' brains were themselves the weapons, reasoning that "a brain, fully used, could be phenomenally powerful in directing internal or external free energy," consistent with their demonstrated abilities to manipulate gravity waves, walk through matter, read minds, and communicate telepathically. He believed the scientists were killed to demonstrate "just how serious it might be if we were to cause an unstable reaction to occur. With that kind of colossal energy, only God and the Greys know what could have been unleashed."

Aftermath

The incident "ended certain exchanges" between the Greys and the United States government. Wolf later stated that "proposals for the announcement [of extraterrestrial reality] have been postponed three times — partly due to the S-4 incident in 1975 which halted negotiations with the Greys."

Bob Lazar's briefing documents at S-4, which he read in 1988–89, described an incident in 1979 in which security personnel were killed by head wounds during a confrontation with aliens at the same facility, also ending the information-exchange program. The striking parallels — head wounds, no visible weapon, bullet-related trigger, exchange program ended — have led to speculation that the two accounts may describe the same event with the date shifted through hearsay transmission, though underground researcher Branton characterized them as part of a series of multiple incidents he termed the "Groom Wars."
