Terraforming
Terraforming is the process of deliberately altering a planet's atmosphere, temperature, surface topography, and ecology to make it habitable for a target species. In mainstream scientific discussion it refers primarily to proposed future human engineering of Mars or Venus; in exopolitics and secret space program testimony it is allegedly an ancient and ongoing practice purportedly conducted by multiple extraterrestrial civilisations across the Sol system and throughout the galaxy, with Earth itself reportedly regarded as a product of intentional environmental engineering.
The Moon as a terraforming device
Jason Reza Jorjani, in a 2023 Aeon Byte Gnostic Radio interview, argued that the Moon itself functions as an active terraforming device — an artificial station engineered to stabilise Earth's axial tilt, moderate its seasons, and regulate tidal dynamics in ways that make complex surface life viable. Jorjani argued that without the Moon, Earth's axial tilt would be extreme and variable, its temperature distribution catastrophic, and its rotation far faster, making Earth effectively uninhabitable in its present form. The locked rotation of the Moon — always presenting one face to Earth — is, on this account, a deliberate engineering feature generated by the same machinery that performs the stabilisation function.
Ancient terraforming of Mars and Earth
Alex Collier described a sequence of ancient terraforming in the Sol system: Maldek — the former fifth planet now forming the asteroid belt — was the original inhabited world, and both Mars and Earth were subsequently terraformed from it, with flora, fauna, and animal life transplanted from Maldek's ecosystem to create habitable new worlds. Thor Han Eredyon, communicating through Elena Danaan, described Pleiadean civilisations participating in galaxy-wide terraforming projects: "In the Pleiades, which was an ancient project for terraforming. The stars there were very young. There were no planets, no worlds to settle on. We resumed the terraforming procedure on the Maia system."
The destruction of Maldek is described as interrupting this Sol system terraforming program: the resulting cataclysm devastated Mars and forced Lyran colonists to flee to Earth and Venus, leaving Mars in an effectively post-terraformed but damaged state that has since been partially colonised by Dark Fleet and ICC programs under pre-existing Martian subsurface infrastructure.
Human plans for Mars terraforming
In mainstream public discourse, Mars terraforming has been discussed by Elon Musk and SpaceX as a long-term goal following initial colonisation. In SSP-adjacent exopolitics commentary, Musk's Mars colonisation ambitions are interpreted as part of the post–Jupiter Accords (2021) framework under which Earth Alliance and commercially-aligned entities are permitted to begin open-access space development that was previously restricted by hostile extraterrestrial factions controlling solar system access.
Avi Loeb, in a 2025 interview, dismissed planetary-scale terraforming as impractical compared to engineering smaller self-sufficient habitats: "Terraforming Mars was discussed in the scientific literature for decades and it's really very challenging. Why would you attempt to do that with such a giant object when you can host people on a smaller object like a spacecraft the size of a city?"
