The Andromeda-Gerät (Andromeda Device), also simply the Andromeda, is an alleged cigar-shaped antigravity mothership said to have been designed under the German SS to carry multiple Haunebu and Vril disc craft. In the account summarised by Joseph P. Farrell, it was planned from the beginning of 1943 as a cigar-shaped mother ship roughly 150 yards long, to be built at the Zeppelin works and capable of "storing several saucer-shaped craft in its body for flights of long duration."
Len Kasten describes the same vessel as a mile-long cylindrical mothership carrier called the Andromeda — also antigravity — designed to transport the Haunebu and Vril craft in flight. In the Dark Fleet tradition, the Andromeda-type carrier is treated as an ancestor of the later cigar-class capital ships operated from the fleet's Solar System bases.
