Indigo children

Indigo children are individuals — primarily children and young adults — identified by proponents as possessing enhanced psychic, spiritual, or cognitive abilities, and named for the claimed indigo coloration of their auras as perceived by clairvoyants. The concept was developed by aura reader Nancy Ann Tappe in the 1970s, popularised by channeller Lee Carroll through the "Kryon" material, and further developed by Jan Tober and Carroll in their 1999 book The Indigo Children. In the ET/conspiracy research context, Indigo children are understood as part of a generation of souls with enhanced star-seed genetics arriving on Earth to assist in the planetary ascension process, and as subjects of covert government identification and monitoring programmes.
Origins of the concept
Nancy Ann Tappe, a San Diego clairvoyant and synesthete, claimed in the 1970s to perceive human auras as colours corresponding to personality and life purpose, and noted an increasing proportion of children born with what she perceived as an indigo-violet aura — previously extremely rare. She associated this aura colour with a new type of consciousness characterised by heightened intuition, strong will, resistance to arbitrary authority, and difficulty with conventional institutional structures. Lee Carroll and Jan Tober systematised and popularised this observation in the late 1990s.
Claimed characteristics
Proponents describe Indigo children as commonly exhibiting: strong psychic sensitivity including telepathy and clairvoyance; inability to tolerate deception or inauthenticity in authority figures; extreme sensitivity to emotional environments; difficulty with rote learning and reward-punishment educational models; and a sense of having a specific mission or purpose. The overlap of this profile with clinical descriptions of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is noted by both proponents and critics — proponents arguing that Indigo children are being misdiagnosed and medicated into conformity, critics arguing that the Indigo concept is a reframing of ordinary neurodevelopmental variation.
Crystal and Star children
Subsequent elaborations of the Indigo framework introduced Crystal children (associated with a crystal-clear aura, described as more gentle than Indigos, with extreme psychic empathy), Rainbow children (described as a third wave with even greater spiritual development), and Star children (a broader category encompassing all children believed to have NHI soul ancestry or star-seed genetics). In the ET/conspiracy integration, all these categories describe individuals in whom dormant genetic potential seeded by the Intergalactic Confederation or other Seeder civilisations is activating in response to Earth's current density transition.
Government tracking claims
A strand of conspiracy research, drawing on MILAB testimony and the accounts of super-soldier witnesses, holds that gifted and psychically sensitive children have been systematically identified through educational and medical screening programmes and entered into classified tracking or recruitment pipelines. Rebecca Rose describes her childhood identification as precisely this pattern: her enhanced psychic abilities, activated by early extraterrestrial contact, drew the attention of classified programmes and led to her induction into a 20-and-back programme. The US Gifted and Talented educational programme is identified by some researchers as one vector for this identification process.
Arkheim Ra, a claimed Montauk Project survivor and secret space program witness, states that his recruitment into the programme occurred specifically through the US public school Talented and Gifted (TAG) programme — confirming the pattern described by Rebecca Rose and suggesting that TAG served as an institutional pipeline for identifying children with the psychic profile required for Montauk-class temporal operations: "He was kidnapped for his supersoldier mind control programming through the U.S. Public Schools TAG program, Talented and Gifted. He was part of the timeline-altering military operations at Montauk."
Starseed incarnation mechanics
The Cosmic Agency Taygetan Pleiadian transmissions provide a detailed technical account of the mechanism by which extraterrestrial souls incarnate on Earth in human bodies — the process described as "immersion." In this model, an ET being such as a Pleiadian "Angel" does not literally transfer their soul into a human body; rather, the human body is constructed or modified to be a frequency-matched receptor for the ET soul's "transmitter" frequency, analogous to a radio receiver tuned to a precise station. According to Cosmic Agency: "The body of John is not really there as such — it's just a holographic matrix that he is using as an awareness point. Like when you are in a video game, it's your senses that do the transfer of awareness back to the transmitter. John is really in a ship right now. It's just that all his senses are being fed with stimuli that convince him that he is on Earth."
This account is cited in the exopolitics community as a technical explanation for why Indigo and star children report a consistent sense of not belonging to Earth — of "beaming down" from another level of themselves — as the Cosmic Agency narrator described from personal experience: "I felt there's something more to this. There's something else going on. Like I'm really literally beaming down from some other level of myself sitting somewhere in a chair with cables around my brain and just transmitting myself here."
Body modification of pregnant women
The Cosmic Agency account also addresses a frequently reported pattern in MILAB and abduction research: the modification of pregnant women or future mothers. In this framework, such abductions are not primarily for genetic sampling but for "attunement" — modifying the fetal body so that its baseline frequency becomes a precise match for the incoming high-vibrational starseed soul: "This is done sometimes artificially before birth, and it's one of the reasons for abductions, especially of pregnant women or women who will later become the mothers of a high-vibrational starseed. They need to have their body modified to accommodate the soul — in order for that soul to be matched to the body."
Atlantean soul influx
Sarah Breskman Cosme, a QHHT (Dolores Cannon-method) practitioner, described in a 2022 interview with Michael Salla a pattern emerging from multiple independent hypnotic regression sessions: clients independently recalled being Atlantean souls now re-incarnating to "do things differently" in the current era — to redress failures of the Atlantean civilization. Cosme stated: "Many Atlanteans are being born today. They want to kind of redo things, to make sure that today's Western global society does not repeat what happened in Atlantis." She also described the identification of "mutant" children with exceptional psychic abilities in regressed Atlantean memories — children whose enhanced capacities were systematically funneled by the Atlantean government into classified state programs, an exact structural parallel to the MILAB-era pattern described by Rebecca Rose and others.
