Matrax

The Matrax are a non-human humanoid species originating from the planet Khadjaari — a red planet — in the Sualocin system (Alpha Delphini in Delphinus). Tall and imposing with a very long skull, a narrow thin face, and a strangely articulated body, they project a formidable appearance that belies a non-aggressive nature. Members of the Galactic Federation of Worlds, the Matrax have been visiting Earth for at least 4,000 years and can live up to 400 Terran years.

The Matrax's most distinctive physical trait is the elongated skull — very long and narrow — combined with a thin face and articulation of their body that Elena Danaan describes as "strange." Khadjaari, their homeworld, is a red planet — implying a distinct atmospheric and mineral composition from Earth-type worlds, with red coloration typically associated with iron-oxide surface chemistry. The Sualocin system (Alpha Delphini) places them in Delphinus, a constellation with relatively few documented advanced civilizations compared to the Lyra or Orion zones.

The Matrax have maintained contact with Earth for at least 4,000 Terran years — predating the modern era of contact programs and placing their initial encounters during human antiquity. At 400 years per lifespan, a Matrax who first visited Earth 4,000 years ago would represent at most ten individual generations, giving the Matrax a generational memory of Earth that spans ancient civilizations including early Egypt, Mesopotamia, and the Mediterranean Bronze Age. Matrax craft are ovoid in shape. Ovoid craft are among the most commonly reported UFO shapes in the Earth contact literature, suggesting that many historical sightings attributed to unknown origins may represent Matrax visitations.
