United Kingdom UFO crash retrieval is the alleged recovery of non-human craft and occupants by the British military, a national counterpart to the United States UFO retrieval effort. Its central case is the Berwyn Mountains incident of 23 January 1974 in Wales — "the Welsh Roswell" — in which, according to UFO researchers including Tony Dodd and a soldier's account, troops recovered wreckage and live or recently deceased grey occupants from Cadair Berwyn and delivered sealed boxes to Porton Down, an event officially attributed to an earthquake coinciding with a bright meteor.
