Aurora program
The Aurora program (or AURORA) is the alleged umbrella black-budget aerospace program under which a family of classified United States craft is said to have been developed. In the account of aerospace writer Edgar Fouché, the program encompasses the hypersonic Aurora reconnaissance aircraft, the SR-75 Penetrator carrier and its SR-74 companion, and the antigravity triangles TR-3A and TR-3B — a lineage running from transitional scramjet aerospace to fully electrogravitic flight. The program name is distinct from — though frequently conflated with — the separate "Aurora" rumor of a hypersonic successor to the SR-71 Blackbird.
Aviation researcher James Goodall independently identifies the Aurora aircraft as a real, operational platform active since at least the early 1990s, describing a profile in which the craft launches from an SR-75 Penetrator carrier over Area 51 and refuels at Diego Garcia. The Lockheed Martin Skunk Works attribution commonly cited for the program's craft is disputed within the research community.
