Montauk time travel experiments
The Montauk alleged time travel experiments were a series of classified operations conducted at Camp Hero, Montauk Point, Long Island, New York, from approximately 1970 to 1983, in which US government and military scientists — assisted by extraterrestrial technology supplied primarily by beings from the Sirius A system — opened portals to specific points in time and space and sent human subjects through them. The program is most extensively documented through the testimony of Stewart Swerdlow, who served as a participant from 1970 to 1983, and Preston Nichols, who worked as a technical engineer. Multiple corroborating witnesses — including Al Bielek and Arkheim Ra — describe the project as the direct successor of the Philadelphia Experiment and a predecessor to contemporary SSP portal technology.
Origins and location
Camp Hero's Montauk Point was chosen for its access to an underlying Atlantean technological complex — excavations beneath the surface during the 19th and early 20th centuries revealed pyramid-like stone structures and advanced equipment, identified as remnants of Atlantis. The site had been developed since 1799 as a military position and was later expanded to nine underground levels during the Cold War under the cover of the SAGE early-warning radar station. After SAGE radar became obsolete in the mid-1960s, the government quietly converted the base into a covert experimental facility incorporating Operation Paperclip German scientists experienced in mind control alongside accumulated extraterrestrial technology.
Scope of operations
The Montauk Project encompassed mind control and programming, genetic manipulation, electromagnetic and microwave experimentation, weather manipulation, advanced weaponry testing, and — by the late 1970s — opening vortices and wormholes for interdimensional and alleged time travel. Approximately 300,000 children and adults were used in experiments across the project's duration; most did not survive. Initial subjects were expendable — orphans, foster children, homeless individuals from New York City — whose disappearance would not be noticed.
Time travel mechanics and the Montauk Chair
The central technological artifact of the alleged time travel experiments was the Montauk Chair — a Sirius A-supplied device consisting of a reclining seat with a sensor array around the head that picked up the operator's brainwave patterns, amplified them through a supercomputer (described by Nichols as a "super Cray"), and manifested thought-forms physically, including opening portals to targeted destinations in time and space. Initial destination coordinates were provided by the Sirius A beings, but many proved incorrect, sending subjects to fatal locations — embedded inside rock, in deep space, or underwater. Project operators subsequently developed their own verified coordinate anchor system, whereby a device was left at each confirmed destination to provide a stable return path.
An artificial intelligence spearheaded the decision-making for the project's operations — per Arkheim Ra, a Montauk survivor: "Montauk was all spearheaded by an artificial intelligence that the military decided to make decisions for them."
Philadelphia Experiment connection and temporal loop
The Montauk alleged time travel experiments are placed in direct technological and temporal continuity with the 1943 Philadelphia Experiment. Three sailors from the USS Eldridge who jumped overboard during the 1943 experiment arrived at Montauk in 1983 — forty years later — because both events were simultaneously emitting massive electromagnetic pulses that locked them into a temporal loop. Those sailors — Al Bielek (Edward Cameron) and Duncan Cameron — were interrogated at Montauk and sent back to 1943; Duncan subsequently became the lead psychic operator of the Montauk Chair from 1970.
The distinction is drawn between wormholes (shortcuts between two points in the same reality) and vortices (shortcuts between different realities); the Montauk-Philadelphia temporal connection is identified as a vortex — still extant.
Termination
The project crashed on August 12, 1983, when Duncan Cameron fell asleep in the Montauk Chair without the equipment being shut off. His nightmare was picked up by the amplification system and manifested as a non-physical energy creature from an alternate reality, which entered through the spontaneous vortex and began destroying the base. The equipment was destroyed to collapse the vortex; the creature's energy dissipated over approximately twelve years. The surface buildings at Camp Hero were subsequently demolished and the site converted into a state park, with the SAGE radar tower enclosed behind fencing and all excavation prohibited on the grounds of unexploded ordnance — a cover, per Swerdlow, for the sealed underground entrances. The experiments are reported to have continued in other locations, including facilities in the western United States and in Europe, with CERN's Large Hadron Collider identified as an interdimensional extension of the Montauk Project.
Additional testimony
In a 2017 interview, Swerdlow described the Montauk Project as encompassing "hyperspace information, opening vortices, connecting to alternate realities, alleged time travel" as well as "sexual magic ritual to learn how to program people, create mind control on a global basis, even create weather changes," and stated that beings from Sirius A, Reptilians, Pleiadians, and human-looking extraterrestrials were all present at the facility at various times.
Joseph Powell, who states he served at Montauk from 1970 to 2014 under the altered name "Jimmy," described how the Montauk Chair was used by child operatives to open portals on demand and to project consciousness into ancestral bloodlines for temporal intervention — sending individuals backward through their own genetic line to alter the actions of their forebears.
