List of Majestic-12 whistleblowers

The following individuals have publicly claimed insider knowledge of, or membership in, Majestic 12 (MJ-12) — the alleged classified committee established to manage UFO crash retrievals and contact with non-human intelligent beings. Claims are unverified through official channels.

Michael Wolf Kruvante: Alphacom Team Chairman

Michael Wolf Kruvante held the most operationally specific claimed role among MJ-12 insiders. According to a 1998 interview conducted by Richard Boylan and published in Nexus Magazine, Wolf served as a scientific consultant to the National Security Council and to multiple presidents on extraterrestrial matters, using the code names "Griffin" and "Nu Kappa Eta" within classified MJ-12 subcommittee work. MJ-12 appointed him Chairman of the Alphacom Team — described as MJ-12's premier extraterrestrial-matters group, which also included an admiral from Naval Intelligence.

Wolf described working daily with extraterrestrial individuals at classified underground laboratories including S-4, Area 51, the Foreign Technology Division labs at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the former Dulce Laboratory, and facilities at Edwards Air Force Base.

Wolf reported that by 1998, MJ-12 had grown to 36 members, including former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and physicist Edward Teller, and convened at locations including the Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus, Ohio. He stated that MJ-1, the committee's head, "answers to no one, not even the President," and that President Clinton lacked the UMBRA ULTRA TOP SECRET clearance required to access upper-level MAJIC documents.

Wolf further identified a renegade faction within MJ-12 he called "the Cabal" — described as an extremist, xenophobic group of officers that, without presidential or congressional authorization, commandeered Star Wars weaponry to shoot down UFOs, took surviving extraterrestrials prisoner, and attempted to extract information by force.

Wolf corroborated the accounts of Bob Lazar and Philip Corso, confirming that it was Edward Teller who recommended Lazar for his position at S-4, and affirming that Corso's description of distributing Roswell crash technology to industry was accurate. He stated the first UFO retrieval occurred in 1941, when a craft came down into the ocean west of San Diego and was retrieved by the U.S. Navy — placing naval primacy in UFO matters earlier than the 1947 Roswell crash.

The Majestic Documents and forensic authentication

Robert Wood and Ryan Wood have investigated leaked Majestic Documents since 1994, when Robert — who had recently retired after a 43-year career with McDonnell Douglas as an aerospace scientist — was given a leaked copy of an apparent official document used by military personnel for crashed extraterrestrial spacecraft retrieval operations. After rigorous forensic investigation, they concluded the SOM 1-01 document was authentic. Robert Wood compiled 74 crash retrieval cases in his 2005 book Majic Eyes Only, citing multiple Majestic Documents with MAJIC-12 security classifications. A key finding was the "Burned Memo" document, which they concluded is linked to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy for his efforts to declassify the UFO topic.

William Cooper

Bill Cooper, a U.S. Navy intelligence briefing officer, claimed to have encountered MJ-12 briefing documents while serving aboard the USS Tiru in the 1960s. He alleged that the documents described an ongoing treaty relationship between the U.S. government and extraterrestrial entities, and that the public had been systematically deceived about the reality of the alien presence. Cooper published his claims in Behold a Pale Horse (1991) and founded CAJI (Citizens Agency for Joint Intelligence). His account of the secret government included a narrative in which Majestic 12 operated as the de facto controlling authority over UFO policy, above the elected government.

The Cutler-Twining Memo

Independent of individual whistleblower testimony, the existence of Majestic 12 is supported by a document discovered in the U.S. National Archives by researcher Stanton Friedman: the "Cutler-Twining Memo," a communication from Robert Cutler — Special Assistant to President Dwight D. Eisenhower — to members of the Majestic-12 Special Studies Project, dated July 14, 1954, notifying them of a scheduling change for their next meeting. The National Archives acknowledged this as a genuine government document in their catalogue, while later attempting to distance themselves from its provenance. Dr. Michael Salla, in his 2023 "Full Disclosure vs Limited Hangouts" webinar, described its significance: "We know that there's a document. It's called the Cutler-Twining Memo and it basically says it's about a change in the schedule for a meeting of the Majestic-12 Special Studies Project... discovered in the National Archives by UFO researcher Stanton Friedman, and it's recognized by the National Archives as a genuine government document."

Salla further described the original 12-member composition as documented in the leaked Eisenhower Briefing Document, consisting of four senior military officials (generals and admirals), four intelligence community representatives, and four scientists — a tripartite structure he argued would logically persist across the committee's evolution.

The Majestic Joint Intelligence Committee and its successors

Steven Greer, founder of the Disclosure Project, describes the MJ-12 committee under the name "MAJIC" — the Majestic Joint Intelligence Committee — as a transnational oversight body that superseded the original Truman-era twelve-member group. A National Reconnaissance Office document shown to Greer at a classified facility carried the code words "MAJI," "Cosmic Ops," "Royal Ops," and "Blackjack Control." By 2023, Greer described this committee as fully international rather than merely American: "It's transnational people from different countries that are on the upper end policy group of this problem," with former CIA director and Vice President Dick Cheney, Admiral Bobby Ray Inman, and George H. W. Bush among past members. The committee operates across national boundaries without requiring host-government approval.

According to a Majestic Document analyzed by Salla, MJ-12 ceased to exist as a government entity in 1969 and "became a private concern financed by big money and big science," operating under various names — Zodiac, Jehovah — and eventually becoming an "international consortium financed and supported by some of the biggest money institutions and private industrialists in the world."

Kennedy assassination and the MJ-12 assassination directive

Dr. Salla's analysis of the Majestic Documents identifies an "MJ-12 Assassination Directive" — designated "Project Environment" — drafted in September 1961. The directive's language stated that when "conditions in Washington are not conducive to growth, it should be wet" — a cryptic authorization for assassination when the political climate threatened Majestic-12's existence. Kennedy's November 12, 1963 memorandum ordering the CIA to share all classified UFO files with NASA — which would have effectively broken MJ-12's information monopoly — is identified as the triggering condition. A handwritten note on the CIA director's copy of Kennedy's memo reads "Angleton has MJ-12 directive," dated two days before Kennedy's assassination, implicating CIA counterintelligence chief James Angleton. Salla characterizes the Kennedy assassination as "a covert coup by the MJ-12 group that through CIA counterintelligence had the means to deny any president access to classified UFO files and even forcefully remove uncooperative federal officials."
