Elmanuk

The Elmanuk are a non-human species from the old star system Gliese 832, near the star Alnair in the constellation Grus, 16.2 light years from Earth, on a planet they named Ardamant. Known as one of the most peaceful races in the galaxy, the Elmanuk are credited with founding what became the Council of Five — originally called the Council of Ardamant or Council of the Nine — to protect under-developed worlds from the Orion Alliance and the Alpha Draconian Empire.

Appearance

The Elmanuk are tall and extremely thin — appearing almost skeletal — though their physical fitness and strength belie that appearance. In general physiology they are quite similar to the Arcturians (Ohorai). They have very large eyes and, like most Grey-type races, wear dark protective lenses. They have two genders, though in times of necessity males can switch gender by activating a womb in their stomach — a painful process performed only when required.

History

Tunguska incident (1908)

In 1908, the Dorsay stole a shipment of slaves from the Maytrei, triggering a five-day battle above Earth. When the Galactic Federation of Worlds and the Council of Five decided to intervene, an Elmanuk ship was dispatched to negotiate an end to the hostilities but was itself drawn into the conflict. The Elmanuk vessel called for emergency assistance; the nearest available ship was a Pleiadian cargo transporting crystals to Alpha Centauri. Warned of approaching reinforcements, the Maytrei — having already shot down the last Dorsay ship — attacked and destroyed both the Pleiadian cargo and the Elmanuk ship as they entered Terra's atmosphere, producing the Tunguska explosion.

Council of Ardamant and the axiom

At the founding of their Council, the Elmanuk coined the phrase: "Five universes, 2,500 species, one race." Although it has since been established that there are many more universes and species, the phrase persisted as an illustrious motto. This axiom was later adapted by the Galactic Federation of Worlds into: "One multiverse, one race."

Retirement and return

Now an old and diminished race, the Elmanuk have mostly retired from active galactic diplomacy but still appear at the Galactic Council when necessary. They visited Earth in 2002 to help prepare for the Great Awakening. Following the collapse of the Nebu Empire, the Elmanuk returned to active participation in their Council, which was subsequently renamed the Council of Alnilam.

Ships and propulsion

Elmanuk ships are elegant V-shaped craft, though not plain triangular. They employ an Etheric Energy Core propulsion system, in which the personal auric field of the pilot is directly connected to the ship's propulsion, allowing the craft to be navigated by consciousness alone.

Council of Five origins

The Council of Five was founded by the Elmanuk — originally called the Council of Nine or Council of Ardamant — and predates the formation of the Nebu Orion Empire. The Council's current five member races — the Egaroth, the Redan, the Orela, the Emerther, and the Ginvo — have monitored Terra since before the arrival of the Anunnaki, witnessed the colonisation of Earth by different galactic civilizations, and met Terran leaders in 1944. Elena Danaan has described the Council of Five as working on specific human bloodlines "generation after generation" to activate psychic potential and repair DNA that had been genetically altered — distinct from, though cooperative with, the Galactic Federation of Worlds.
