Tisar

The Tisar (or Tisari) are a non-human amphibian humanoid species who originally inhabited planet Arii-Tuviya, the third planet of the Aragor system (Mintaka/Delta Orionis) in the Orion zone, before being forcibly displaced by the Grail's invasion of their world. Despite having slight lizardoid features — particularly slanted golden eyes — their skin is perfectly human-like, giving them an amphibian character that sets them apart from either purely reptiloid or purely humanoid species catalogued in the Andromeda-to-Orion zone.

Appearance

The Tisari combine several physiological traits rarely found together: the palmed hands and feet and pale glistening skin of an aquatic adaptation sit alongside the essentially human facial structure and body form, punctuated only by their distinctively slanted golden eyes. This combination reflects their homeworld's environment — Arii-Tuviya was a planet mainly covered by oceans and insular luxuriant lands, described at the time of the Grail invasion as an absolute paradise. The amphibian adaptation of the Tisari — including their palmed extremities and glistening skin — was likely an expression of that predominantly oceanic biosphere. Their peaceful temperament is noted explicitly as a species characteristic, distinguishing them from the aggressive Orion-zone powers that caused their displacement.

Displacement by the Grail

The Grail are a highly advanced saurian Grey-type species resident in the Mintaka/Delta Orionis system who are noted for their drive to conquer and ransack neighbouring worlds despite their own lack of organisational cohesion. Their invasion of Arii-Tuviya forced the Tisari to abandon their ocean world entirely. The Tisari then wandered for a long time through space in search of a world with satisfactory survival conditions. Arii-Tuviya, now ransacked by the Grail, remains lost to the Tisari.

Current location

After their extended period of displacement, the Tisari found haven in a distant planetary system whose location Elena Danaan does not specify beyond describing it as distant. The Tisar experience parallels numerous other Orion-zone diaspora narratives — including those of the Taali and other peoples scattered during the Orion Wars — in which peaceful cultures were forcibly evacuated or driven from their homeworlds by predatory empire expansion. No GFW membership or affiliation is recorded for the Tisari, consistent with their status as a recently displaced culture still consolidating a new home.
