Non-human intelligent beings in Nellis Air Force Base are the subject of several purported accounts of on-base contact and clandestine liaison, chiefly from the former United States Air Force weather observer Charles Hall and the retired USAF master sergeant Jason Sands, situating the installation — together with its subordinate ranges, the neighbouring Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR), and the co-located Area 51 facility — as an alleged long-running locus of non-human liaison activity. The species named across these accounts include the Tall Whites (the Kiily-Tokurt), the Greys, and, less often, Reptilians, reportedly liaising with US military personnel stationed on the range under a cover of routine base duties.

Charles Hall, a US Air Force weather observer assigned to the Indian Springs Gunnery Ranges of Nellis AFB from 1965 to 1967, has alleged that his weather-observer duties doubled as a cover role for parallel-duty liaison with a resident group of extraterrestrials he designates the Tall Whites, reportedly conducted with the cooperation of US military personnel stationed on the range. Hall describes the posting as a remote assignment at which 41 previous weather observers had allegedly been psychologically or physically incapacitated before a selection process placed him in the role. Hall additionally reports having been flown, following a knee injury, to a facility he refers to as "Area 5453" at which US Army generals and medical personnel were purportedly present — an episode he cites as evidence of an established liaison relationship between American military command and the alleged Tall White group. 1994 Nellis Test Range craft sighting

In late October 1994 an unidentified craft allegedly entered the Nellis Test Range airspace and flew past the Black Mountain schoolhouse, where it was reportedly observed by at least ten range personnel and recorded by the range's radar-slaved automated cameras; the footage subsequently circulated publicly as the Nellis AFB Range UFO incident of 1994. Retired USAF master sergeant Jason Sands, who served at the range in the 1990s, claims to have encountered the same craft in a grounded, damaged state on the range road approximately one week later — an incident documented according to Desert encounter (Jason Sands). Sands has testified to both House and Senate committees about the sighting in 2022 and provided depositions to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office under Sean Kirkpatrick in 2023. Sands has also publicly stated that the terms "Tall Whites", "Greys", and, to a lesser extent, "Reptilians" circulated verbally during his own range missions, and that his own base commander — in an orientation tour decades after Hall's alleged tour of duty — independently described the Groom Lake weather-observer position as affording its occupant unrestricted movement on the range, a characteristic detail which Sands regards as corroborating Hall's description of the Indian Springs role.

Popular-culture framing

The long-running association of Nellis with classified aerospace activity — most prominently the adjacent Area 51 facility on the Nevada Test and Training Range — has driven recurring treatments in fiction. In the Stargate SG-1 television series, Nellis AFB is depicted as the nominal host installation of Area 51, where alleged extraterrestrial technologies are portrayed as being studied.
