John Vivanco

John Vivanco is an American controlled remote viewing practitioner and instructor who conducted a widely cited multi-viewer remote viewing investigation of the Skinny Bob footage for Heather Wade's Midnight in the Desert program, finding after five viewers and approximately five tasking sessions that "this was a real being" associated with a craft crash.

Skinny Bob investigation

The Skinny Bob tasking was conducted under blinded conditions; viewers were not told what they were targeting. The collective findings included: the being had survived a craft crash in which other entities were present; it was held in a moist life-support container and sought to return to it; it experienced acute psychological distress and an intense desire to return home. During later sessions the entity began actively deflecting viewer intrusion, transmitting hostile commands — "You again. Why are you here? Get out of my head" — indicating no prior remote viewing of this being had occurred — it had not learned to block the intrusion from the outset. The remote viewing crash date estimate (1949 or 1955) corresponds to Bill Uhouse's description of a Grey alien surviving the 1953 Kingman, Arizona crash.

Background and training

Vivanco came to remote viewing through a 1995 Ted Koppel television piece on the recently declassified Stargate program, which catalysed an immediate sense of vocation. As a former fine art student who had spent six years at a Zen meditation centre, he was already practised in sustained internal attention work; he trained initially with Prudence Calabrese — who had been trained by Ed Dames and Courtney Brown — then helped Calabrese build a professional think tank called Trans Dimensional Systems in the late 1990s, which operated until approximately 2005–2006.

Trans Dimensional Systems took on a wide range of clients — business consulting, hedge funds, Pixar script work — but also quietly worked for intelligence-adjacent contacts who would approach informally with requests, without any secrecy agreements, under the logic that a paper trail would itself verify the reality of the programs they were exploring. The organisation faced severe coercion: death threats, covert surveillance by a group trying to shut them down, and eventually IRS action that seized their funds — shutting the operation down.

After the collapse of Trans Dimensional Systems, Vivanco returned to remote viewing and became host of Chronicles of a Psychic Spy on RISE TV (formerly Edge of Wonder).

Genetic alteration investigation: Peter Maxwell Slattery

Vivanco conducted a separate investigation tasking up to 40 remote viewers on Australian contactee Peter Maxwell Slattery, who claims lifelong multi-species contact. The combined results indicated Slattery had been genetically altered and was part of a genetic engineering and seeding program serving other races — placing him as one of a handful of humans in that category. The finding accounted for Slattery's unusual ability to interface with as many as 50 or more different non-human intelligences.

Physical contact following remote viewing sessions

Vivanco recounted being physically visited by a non-human entity following a remote viewing project targeting anomalous lights near the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico — tasked by Joyce Murphy and Ruben Arite for their Learning Channel paranormal expedition television program. During the session he found himself sensed by the beings he was targeting: viewers present felt the beings looking back at them during the session. Shortly afterward, at home, Vivanco fell asleep and was physically poked on the shoulder; upon waking he encountered a being approximately three feet tall with a football-shaped head, small black eyes on the sides of the head, bumps beneath the skull, and a spindly, tentacle-like lower body. When Vivanco reacted with alarm, the being communicated telepathically: "Stop what you're doing. It's like you're throwing bricks at me." It then identified itself as being "from the signal" (a reference to the Arecibo project) and stated they wanted his assistance.

This episode is consistent with Vivanco's broader observation that remote viewing sessions targeting non-human intelligences can trigger reciprocal contact — that beings with a broader consciousness construct will recognize when someone is probing their mind and respond: "Beings that have a broader consciousness construct than we do will recognize when somebody's probing its mind."
