Parallel engineering of exotic technology

Parallel engineering of exotic technology — also called reverse engineering of exotic and NHI technology — is the alleged effort by human military, scientific, and contractor teams to understand, replicate, and operationalize technology recovered from craft, or granted under treaty, the processing stage of the UFO legacy program between UFO retrieval and the fielding of human-built craft. In most documented cases the work is not literal reverse engineering — disassembling a device and copying it — but capability-inspired or materials-derived development: a human program pursues an effect observed in a craft (gravity control, vacuum energy, metric engineering) using human physics, the craft serving as proof the effect is possible rather than as a blueprint. Conducted through unacknowledged special access programs contracted to major defense corporations, it rests on the finding that in a genuine exotic craft the engineering is embedded in the material itself, so that understanding the craft means recovering an exotic physics withheld from public science. The work of carrying out reverse-engineering of recovered craft is alleged to have been conducted within numerous exotic technology engineering programs.
Materials as the engine
A recurring conclusion of the analytic programs is that, in a genuine non-human craft, the propulsion is not a discrete mechanism but a property of the structure itself — "the engine, not the exhaust," in Garry Nolan's phrase — so that the decisive object of study is the material rather than any assembly of parts. Recovered samples have been reported to show isotopic ratios that do not occur naturally on Earth, and the Roswell debris included a layered bismuth–magnesium structure that Hal Puthoff characterized as a terahertz waveguide with no counterpart in conventional materials science, observed to shift under a high-voltage field as though the hull were itself the propulsion (see Pieces of the Roswell craft). Reverse-engineering such hardware is therefore as much the recovery of a suppressed unified field theory — of gravity, vacuum energy, and the spacetime metric — as the copying of a device.
Recovery and initial processing
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base received crash-retrieved NHI material from at least 1947 onward, serving as the initial processing node for debris and biological specimens; see Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
The Army R&D Foreign Technology Desk at the Pentagon, under Philip Corso (1961–1963), distributed recovered Roswell material to defense contractors under cover of conventional R&D; see Corso Foreign Technology Desk seeding (1961–1963).
Donald Schmitt, co-author of multiple Roswell investigative volumes and an advisor to congressional UFO legislation, has documented the Wright-Patterson material storage in detail — specifically the "blue hangar," the "blue room," and Hangar 18, the facility at Wright-Patterson most associated with the physical storage of retrieved NHI hardware and biological specimens. Schmitt testified that by the late 1970s, mainstream UFO researchers finally began taking crash retrieval seriously: "Therein would potentially lie the greatest evidence — the fact that no longer would we be just chasing glimpses of something in the nighttime or daytime sky, but that we could actually point to Washington, we could point to the Pentagon, we could point to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and say that you are housing, you are preserving, you are maintaining and keeping secret the biggest story of the millennium, that you actually have the physical hardware."
The Corso seeding program
Philip Corso served as chief of the Army's Foreign Technology Desk from 1961 to 1963, directly under General Arthur Trudeau. Corso described a systematic program in which artifacts from the Roswell crash — held in Army files since 1947 — were taken to major defense and technology companies under the cover of conventional R&D challenges. Researcher Paola Harris, who conducted extensive personal interviews with Corso at the 1997 Roswell 50th anniversary conference and subsequently in Italy in 1997 and 1998, has provided the most detailed first-hand account of Corso's description of the program:
The artifacts included microchips, fiber optics, and high-tenacity fibers. Corso — accompanied by German scientists from the post-war technical transfer program — would present the materials to companies such as Monsanto, framing them as design challenges rather than alien artifacts. Night vision devices were developed from a lens structure peeled from a recovered alien biological entity — a light-collecting organ that Corso described as having been studied at the Pentagon before being used as a template for military night vision equipment: "The cover of which was like a lens from the alien body. That was a light collector. He explained to me how they peeled it off and then used that lens."
Critically, Corso described the transactions as cash-based, with no paper trail: "He told me it was done on a cash basis. So there was no paper trail." Harris connects this to the reason the programs remained unacknowledged: "I realize today it's not about religion, it's not about scaring the general public, it's about the fact that there's money being made off of back-engineering, and nobody, in these 40 to 50 years, is about to talk about that."
The Corso program briefed Robert F. Kennedy — who as Attorney General served as a direct conduit to President John F. Kennedy — giving the Kennedy White House at least indirect awareness of the program's existence and its technological outputs.
Technology lineage claims
The specific technologies Corso and corroborating researchers attribute to Roswell-derived reverse engineering include:
- Fiber optics — the use of glass fibers for light transmission, which experienced rapid commercial development in the 1960s and became the backbone of modern communications infrastructure
- Integrated circuits (microchips) — solid-state electronics whose rapid miniaturization from the late 1950s onward has been identified by Corso as informed by recovered NHI components
- Night vision devices — military night-vision optics derived from the lens structure recovered from alien biological remains
- High-tenacity synthetic fibers — materials analogous to Kevlar, whose properties Corso claimed were seeded to DuPont and other chemical companies
- Particle beam and directed energy weapons — technologies whose classified development at Sandia National Laboratories and other facilities is claimed by multiple sources to reflect reverse-engineered NHI weapons systems
The SR-71 Blackbird — developed at Lockheed Skunk Works in Burbank, California, and operational from 1964 — is also cited as a potential reverse-engineering product, given its extraordinary performance characteristics (Mach 3.3, operational ceiling above 85,000 feet) achieved just 17 years after Roswell.
The Wilson-Davis memo and contractor programs
The Wilson–Davis memo (notes of an April 9–10, 2002 meeting between astrophysicist Eric Davis and retired Vice Admiral Thomas R. Wilson) is the single most detailed document in circulation describing the institutional structure of the contractor-held reverse engineering programs. Wilson described his 1997 experience attempting, as Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, to gain access to a classified program managed by a major aerospace prime contractor. He was denied access: the program's security officer informed him he was "not on the access list" and that presidential-level authority would be required to add him. The memo describes the program as holding hardware of non-human origin under a special-access structure whose oversight was external to the regular SAP review process.
The Hal Puthoff paper "Ultraterrestrials" (2022), cited by researcher Third Eye Drops, describes this contractor-distribution model in the context of the extraterrestrial hypothesis signature evidence: "a certain level of relatively low-profile, possibly statesman-influenced, integrated investment control of a set of global multinational corporations with convergent interlocking technology developments, aerospace and electronics corporations."
A recovered Hal Puthoff audio clip — from an unidentified interview — was also included in the Third Eye Drops program, in which Puthoff described in first person his role in the Corso-type dissemination program: "He drew me back in and put me in charge, that established a foreign technology division for me. And these were the artifacts on a crashed flying saucer which we — use the word 'applied engineering.' Was Dr. Teller still alive? He helped. And we fed these things. He gave me the job of finding industry or scientists who were close to items and feed them in normal R&D projects." When asked where the items came from, Puthoff stated: "They came from a flying saucer." And when asked how he knew: "Because they were marked in the files as coming from New Mexico. The Roswell."
Hands-on programs
Bob Lazar worked at S-4 (Papoose Lake) in 1988–1989 on the propulsion system of a disc-shaped craft using moscovium (element 115) as a gravity-wave fuel source; see Bob Lazar, S-4 (Papoose Lake).
Bill Uhouse designed an ARV flight simulator whose propulsion parameters were informed by direct consultation with a P-45 J-Rod entity at Los Alamos National Laboratory; see J-Rod, Dan Burisch case.
Human-built reproductions
Three operational alien reproduction vehicles (ARVs) were on display at a classified section of the November 1988 Norton AFB air show; see Norton Air Force Base ARV demonstration (November 1988), Alien reproduction vehicle.
William Tompkins, a Navy draftsman and Douglas Aircraft contractor, received intelligence on SS collaboration with off-planet entities from Navy agents embedded in Nazi Germany (1942–1945) and later worked on classified SSP vessel designs; see William Tompkins, Bill Tompkins Naval Intelligence spy network (1942–1945).
Soviet parallel programs
Russia and the Soviet Union conducted parallel crash retrieval and reverse engineering programs independently of the American effort. Dr. Anton Anfalov, who has interviewed hundreds of Russian and Ukrainian military personnel, has documented a major 1968 crash retrieval near Riga, Latvia, in which a craft approximately 11–12 meters in diameter was recovered, along with four alien bodies — one living — and transferred to the Kosa Air Base southeast of Moscow for study by multiple Soviet scientific research institutes. Soviet facilities associated with the reverse engineering effort included classified installations near Moscow where the concentration of scientific institutes enabled multidisciplinary study of recovered materials.
Contracting and oversight
Programs operated within USAPs contracted primarily to Lockheed Skunkworks, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, and SAIC, insulated from congressional oversight through black-budget funding. Intelligence contractor David Grusch testified before Congress in July 2023 that retrieved craft and biologics were held by private contractors.
The Hynek-era Project Blue Book UFO researcher J. Allen Hynek — who ultimately reversed his skeptical position — characterized the end-state of the secrecy: the contractors who had been "sitting on the truth regarding this subject for all these decades" included the CEOs of Boeing, Lockheed, Los Alamos, and the Battelle Memorial Institute. Donald Schmitt has stated that future congressional subpoena strategy should target these executives directly: "We need to actually further investigate these cases, because therein would potentially lie the greatest evidence."
Stan Deyo and Australia — 1970s whistleblowing
Stan Deyo, who studied at the US Air Force Academy and later worked with physicist Edward Teller, is identified by Michael Salla as the first whistleblower to come forward in the 1970s revealing the existence of secret space programs working on reverse-engineered flying saucer technology. Deyo was recruited into a classified anti-gravity research program through Dr. James Maxfield — a scientist associated with Teller — and subsequently sent to Australia, where he received a briefing on programs at an aeronautical research laboratory, shown video records of alien craft filmed at an RAAF air base, and informed that the program involved an international consortium spanning the United States, Britain, Australia, Russia, and Germany, with a coordinating base in Antarctica.
Deyo described his own research on anti-gravity propulsion — work on "propelling saucer craft" by electrically interacting with gravity — which he had been conducting on the back side of a blackboard at Teller's facility, hidden from daytime work. It was this research that attracted the attention of program managers who recruited him for the Australian program. Deyo was subsequently dismissed from the program, went underground in Australia, and — after intelligence officials determined a contract had been placed on him — was eventually protected by Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) officials. He published The Cosmic Conspiracy in 1978 and appeared on Channel Nine Australia's television special UFOs: Here — in Salla's testimony, the first person to go public about reverse-engineered ET spacecraft programs, decades before later whistleblowers.
Narrative management and gatekeeping
A dominant counter-disclosure narrative — that the US possesses recovered NHI craft but has made "little or no progress" in reverse engineering due to technological opacity and insufficient funding — has been characterized by Dan Willis and others as a deliberate limited hangout. Willis identified Eric Davis as a carrier of this narrative, noting Davis's employment by the Aerospace Corporation and his role briefing members of Congress on the "agonizingly slow progress" thesis. Willis contrasted this narrative with what he regarded as abundant evidence that operational anti-gravity vehicles were already flying by the early 1950s and that successful reverse engineering had been ongoing for decades.
Willis further noted that when David Grusch testified before the House of Representatives that the US had secret UFO craft reverse-engineering operations, official counter-witnesses claiming no such anti-gravity technology existed were contradicted by documented incidents such as the Malmstrom Air Force Base event in which a UAP reportedly disabled ICBM warheads. Willis identified these officials as counter-disclosure assets functioning to protect the contractor-held programs from congressional scrutiny. The closely guarded value of this technology base is itself offered as the motive behind episodes such as the 1996–97 release of the Alien interview video, which Steven Greer and others read as a pro-disclosure faction of the Cabal leveraging the mere threat of disclosure to bargain over the lucrative exotic-technology trade rather than to end secrecy — a gambit the anti-disclosure majority met with skeptical debunking of the footage and only a partial, controlled concession, the core secret being worth more kept.[citation needed]
Hybrid and derivative craft programs
Reverse-engineered non-human technology was itself subsequently reverse-engineered or iteratively adapted by other human programs, creating multiple generations of derivative technology — some of which may now be indistinguishable from their original non-human templates.[citation needed] Recovered electrogravitic craft served as templates for the TR-3B Astra and other stealth platforms observed during sightings near Area 51, Dugway Proving Ground, and the Tonopah Test Range.[citation needed]
Technology types and research fronts
In addition to propulsion and materials, significant reverse-engineering efforts have focused on neural interface systems, cloaking technologies, Zero-point energy generators, and nonlocal communication systems.[citation needed] Metamaterials and holographic projectors reportedly originating from non-human datasets have been seeded into Earth's technology base via controlled disclosure to select corporate front groups, particularly those embedded in DARPA, IN-Q-Tel, and classified NSA technology incubation programs.[citation needed]
Obfuscation and disinformation
The counterintelligence arm of these programs is known to seed disinformation, fabricate competing narratives, and exploit confusion between non-human-origin and human-origin exotic technology as part of long-running psyop frameworks such as those deployed under the classified annexes of Project Blue Book and its successors, including post-AATIP black spin-offs.[citation needed]
