Jighantik

The Jighantik are a non-human reptilian species from a six-planet system in the constellation Horologium, living on one planet while tyrannizing the other five for natural resources, primarily mineral and gas. Though a reptilian species in their own right, they are characterized by slender eyes, a long thin ridge instead of a nose, and a robust musculature that inspires fear, along with four long strong fingers that can curve and grip like claws. They wear no clothes except environmental armor for space travel.

Physiology

Despite the Jighantik being classified as a reptilian species, they are noted as a species in their own right — not a subgroup of any broader reptilian lineage such as the Draco reptilians or Nagai. Their tall build and formidable physical presence serve as a natural deterrent. Like several other reptilian species, the Jighantik feed on etheric substance as well as flesh and blood — though unlike races such as the Maytra, they do not consume human flesh despite conducting abductions.

Relations with Earth

The Jighantik have been visiting Earth for the past 3,000 years and have contact with three world governments — none of them the US, USSR, or other major powers. They conduct human abductions but do not eat humans, unlike other reptilian races.

Ships and technology

Their ships are discoidal with a brown metallic appearance, and they are capable of interdimensional and time travel — a technological sophistication that grants them significant strategic advantage.
