Andromeda (constellation)
Andromeda is a constellation in the northern sky adjacent to Perseus and Cassiopeia, and in exopolitics testimony most significant as the constellation from which the Andromedans — the non-human civilization that provided Alex Collier with his primary contact information — are commonly said to originate, though the designation is a loose approximation: the Andromedan beings Collier designates as his contacts are from a specific star system (Zenetae) within the general direction of the Andromeda constellation as seen from Earth, not from the Andromeda Galaxy. The label "Andromedan" in contact literature derives from Earth observers' directional framing, not from the beings' own designation for their home, which is distinct from the large galaxy of the same name approximately 2.5 million light-years away.
Zenetae
Zenetae — the home system of Collier's Andromedan contacts — is described as a binary star system whose inhabited planet hosts a humanoid civilization operating at an advanced spiritual and technological level, active in the galactic council structure and deeply invested in the outcome of events on Earth due to the long-term causal implications of Earth's trajectory for civilizations across multiple galaxies.
Contact with Alex Collier
Alex Collier's contacts with Morenae and Vasais — two Andromedan beings — began in childhood and intensified in the 1980s–1990s, producing the body of material published in Defending Sacred Ground (1996). The Andromedans' messages to Collier focused on human origins, the nature of the NHI presence on Earth, the threat from the Draco reptilians/Orion control structure, and the critical nature of the current period for humanity's galactic future. The Andromedan warnings about a "dimensional shift" in the late 20th and early 21st centuries are among the most precise timeline-based predictions in the contact literature.
Andromeda Council as galactic governance
In Collier's contact material, the Andromeda Council functions as a galactic governing body operating above the Galactic Federation of Worlds — advising and mentoring the Federation on strategic decisions. The Council's concern with Earth is long-term and civilizational: Collier describes his Andromedan contacts as warning that events on Earth will affect civilizations "357 billion light years from here," framing the stakes as cosmically significant rather than locally contained. When asked whether humanity would eventually join the Galactic Federation and work with groups like the Andromeda Council, Collier affirmed the trajectory while noting that the Council worked with other groups and "would not take sole credit" for any aspect of the human liberation trajectory.
In a 2021 interview on the Midnight, On Earth podcast, Elena Danaan explained the Andromeda Council's motivation for intervening in the Solar System: "The Andromeda Council in the constellation of Andromeda, not the galaxy. In the future, they saw that in the future the galaxy, our galaxy, was ransacked by a horrible tyranny... The Andromeda have traced it back to start the making of this tyranny, this empire back to Earth, its moon and Mars. And this tyranny was seeded and started in the 1940s by the Grays."
Relationship to the Galactic Federation
Elena Danaan's contact material describes the Andromeda Council as operating in an advisory and mentoring relationship to the Galactic Federation of Worlds — the Council functioning as a higher-order body that the Federation consults on major decisions affecting galactic civilization. This hierarchical structure positions Andromedan beings as among the elder species in the local galactic community, with the Zenetae system representing a civilization that has transcended many of the conflicts characterizing younger civilizations in the Orion and Pleiadian systems.
1998 Art Bell interview
On July 21, 1998, Collier appeared on Art Bell's Coast to Coast AM and named his contacts' home system on air: "They're a human race that come from a solar system that is called Zen — it is a small solar system whose star circles around a larger star called Niraj, in the Andromeda constellation." In that interview Collier confirmed he was not the only contactee — "there are at least four others, three others that I know of... one in South America, one in Asia, and one in Europe" — all contacted because of events that affect the destiny of "our galaxy" and 21 other solar systems. He also described the Andromedan propulsion principle: they "fold space" using "a lot of holographic technology" and draw power from "the energy that is available in every single atom" across densities three through nine.
Zenae designation
According to Elena Danaan, the beings Collier designates as "Andromedans" are more precisely called Zenae — the inhabitants of a specific system in the direction of the Andromeda constellation. Danaan draws distinctions between multiple cultural groups in that spatial region to avoid conflating all Andromedan-direction beings under a single label. Craig Campobasso's independent almanac separately catalogues the Andromedans as blue hairless humans with three genders, governed by 24 Elders at Beta Andromedae, who communicate via holographic telepathy and travel using Merkabah vehicles.
