Joseph Powell
Joseph Powell is a self-described secret space program (SSP) survivor who claims to have served at the Montauk facility at Camp Hero, Long Island, from approximately 1970 to 2014 under the dissociated alter identity "Jimmy." He identifies himself as a later commander of Project Phoenix operations after the removal of Preston Nichols. He maintains the "Fractal Weapons" page on Facebook.

Background and early recruitment
Powell recalls being first taken into the programs at approximately age seven or eight while in the third grade, experiencing blank-outs he later identified as alter activation. He describes his hometown as a small community of approximately 3,000 people in a rural area of Oklahoma in Choctaw Nation territory, which he believes was chosen for recruitment partly because disappearances would go unnoticed in the dispersed population. This pattern of targeting individuals unlikely to be missed is consistent with other Montauk testimony; Stewart Swerdlow, who claims direct involvement in the project, has described how the program recruited "people that no one would miss" including "children of alcoholics, foster children, orphans" and homeless people from New York City. He believes there is a deep underground military base in the mountain terrain near his location, in Indian Territory land.
Alter experience
Powell's own consciousness describes observing the base through Jimmy's archived memories rather than as direct first-person experience in all cases: "You'd look around the base and just start — your alter, with basically the personality that they had trained for that specific mission, would fall back, and then the one that was currently serving at Montauk would just come to the surface." He describes multiple layers of trauma bonding — a primary trauma twin, secondary alters bonded to specific counterparts, and tertiary bonds across different projects. Powell also describes work with praying mantis entities on Mars, and participation in cloning operations.
