Proposed motives for the MH370 abduction have been advanced from two distinct directions, which are not mutually exclusive. Researcher Ashton Forbes identifies a CIA operation targeting the 20 Freescale Semiconductor engineers aboard the flight to prevent advanced semiconductor technology from reaching China. QHHT sessions with Mark Domizio point to the recovery of cabal financial records on a hard drive carried by a single Japanese passenger as the primary target. Both accounts agree that the seizure was a deliberate intelligence operation — the two motives could have coexisted in the same operation. Forbes identifies the triggering factor as the presence of 20 Freescale Semiconductor engineers aboard MH370 — 12 Malaysian and 8 Chinese nationals — who were travelling to a Freescale facility under construction near Beijing. In Forbes's analysis, the engineers were integral to classified gallium nitride chip technology or equivalent advanced semiconductor research that the United States was not willing to allow China to obtain — either because China was actively attempting to bring that expertise onto its soil, or because the engineers themselves embodied intellectual property that would give China a decisive advantage in an ongoing technological competition.

Forbes frames the operation as a defensive act — not a random attack on a civilian airliner — with responsibility partially attributable to China for attempting to extract personnel from a U.S. defense-linked company: "China is the one that had an operation going and we just messed it up. If you didn't try to steal our people, this wouldn't have happened." This frames the seizure as an act of counterintelligence, consistent with Forbes's broader argument that the U.S. was protecting advanced reverse-engineered technology — possibly related to the very warp-transit system used to seize the aircraft — from foreign acquisition.

Forbes separately notes that a widely-circulated theory linking the Freescale engineers' deaths to patent transfer (the claim that patents owned by those engineers would revert to a Rothschild-linked entity upon their deaths) is factually incorrect: patents are owned by the company, not the individuals, and death would not cause reversion to a third party.

Cabal financial records recovery

Domizio's testimony, recovered through QHHT sessions conducted by Suzanne Spooner, offers a different target entirely. His higher self stated that the entire operation — the landing, the killing of all passengers, and the disassembly of the aircraft — was executed for one purpose: to recover a hard drive that a single Japanese passenger had stolen and was carrying aboard the flight. The passenger had stolen the hard drive, which contained cabal financial records — financial data pertaining to the global power structure sometimes referred to in secret space program (SSP) and exopolitics discourse as "the cabal." Once operators identified that this passenger was on the flight, they mounted the operation specifically to seize that drive.

Per Domizio, the financial records were not merely sensitive government data but records documenting the financial operations of a hidden power structure — material whose exposure could have compromised or exposed that structure. The operation was not about semiconductor technology or geopolitical competition, but about suppressing documentary evidence of that structure's own activities. All 239 passengers and crew were killed to ensure no witnesses survived, and the aircraft was disassembled on site.

Domizio distinguishes between two layers of his account: (1) what he witnessed through the eyes of his clone Hans — bodies being moved through freight elevators in the underground facility at Diego Garcia — and (2) what his higher self stated in the QHHT session — the hard drive motive and the Japanese passenger. He notes that these two levels of memory confirmed each other across separate sessions.

The host of the Journey to Truth Podcast noted that Kerry Cassidy's book Rebel Gene contains an independent account from a confidential source also placing the plane at Diego Garcia, though with different details: in Cassidy's source's version, "unnecessary" passengers were brain-wiped and deposited in third-world countries with amnesia, rather than killed. Domizio responded: "Part of it's true" — suggesting that some elements of different accounts may be reconcilable.

Points of convergence and difference

Both accounts agree that the aircraft was deliberately seized, brought to Diego Garcia, and that the operation was a targeted intelligence action rather than an accident, with all or most passengers killed. They identify different primary targets — engineers and technology (Forbes) versus a specific hard drive carried by one passenger (Domizio) — and different institutional actors responsible: national security/CIA apparatus versus a hidden cabal protecting its financial records. These differences do not render the accounts mutually exclusive: an operation could have multiple objectives, or different participants could have been aware of different layers of the mission's purpose.
