Greg Rogers
Greg Rogers is a retired United States Air Force flight surgeon and former Chief of Aerospace Medicine at the 45th Space Wing, Cape Canaveral, who served simultaneously as senior flight surgeon for the NASA astronaut rescue and recovery team during Space Shuttle operations. In 2025 he came forward publicly to describe witnessing a reverse-engineered craft of claimed non-human origin in a secret hangar at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in 1992 — an account detailed in the Greg Rogers 1992 Cape Canaveral UFO sighting article.

Career
Rogers served at Patrick Air Force Base from 1989, holding the position of Chief of Aerospace Medicine within the 45th Medical Group of the 45th Space Wing. His duties encompassed oversight of the flight medicine program, environmental health, and military public health across the Cape Canaveral installation. As senior flight surgeon for the astronaut rescue team, Rogers flew in rescue helicopters at every Space Shuttle launch and landing, tasked with immediate medical response should the Shuttle require an abort over the Atlantic. His wide access to Cape Canaveral's facilities — requiring approximately twelve separate identification cards — gave him routine entry to the majority of buildings and contractor sites on the base, including those operated by EG&G.

In approximately April or May 1992, while conducting routine medical oversight visits to contractor facilities at Cape Canaveral, Rogers was invited by an Air Force major into a locked office where he viewed a disc-shaped craft approximately 20 feet across — smooth, seamless, bearing "U.S. Air Force" markings — hovering and rotating inside a hangar via closed-circuit television. When Rogers asked about the craft's design origin, the major replied: "when we got it from them." UFO historian Richard Dolan, discussing the case on the Danny Jones Podcast, described Rogers as having been shown CCTV footage by another Air Force officer of "a flying saucer that had U.S. Air Force markings on it" that "did things we did not have the ability to do — tilt at an angle while hovering, rotate this way or rotate that way," and noted that when Rogers asked where it came from, "the guy just pointed up." Rogers kept the account private for thirty-three years before coming forward in 2025, citing the 2023 congressional testimony of David Grusch as the catalyst.
