Project Looking Glass is an alleged United States Naval Intelligence black-project program that utilized devices derived from “stargate” (Einstein-Rosen bridge accessing device) technology to observe probable events affecting national and corporate interests across the forward and rear event horizons of spacetime for strategic analysis. The program was allegedly developed in the mid-to-late 20th century among a purported suite of secret government initiatives — reportedly including the sibling Project Aquarius and other programs — that were operated in part at the alleged S-4 facility near Area 51, Nevada under MAJIC (Majestic 12) oversight. The project allegedly aimed to harness Einstein–Rosen bridge and wormhole technology to observe probable future events and explore the physics of time distortion. It was described by Dan Burisch, a microbiologist who claims to have worked at S-4 from the early 1990s, by self-described former United States Navy SEAL Bill Wood, and by alleged secret space program participant Corey Goode; it was also investigated by researcher Bill Hamilton and his source — and Burisch's associate — Marcia McDowell. According to Burisch, the technology was described as having been back-engineered from instructions encoded in ancient cylinder seals — themselves allegedly planted in the past by future humans — and developed into a working device beginning in the 1950s and 1960s.

Much of the publicly attested information about the program was disclosed by Dan Burisch, whose account is widely dismissed as a hoax by ufologists such as Royce Myers III (ufowatchdog.org), who noted, among other things, the lack of evidence of Burisch's claimed doctoral degree. Burisch, his associates, and several investigators who interviewed him attribute that documentary absence to the deliberate sealing and expungement of deep-program personnel records, which they describe as routine to the cover-up surrounding the program;[citation needed] A similar justification supposedly applies to Bill Wood, who claimed to have used a Looking Glass device in the course of his duties, but for whom supposedly no record of SEAL service exists. Another reason cited for doubting the information provided by Burisch and the other alleged witnesses is that it cannot readily be tested since any Looking Glass devices or related artifacts would be inaccessible to outside investigators and all were said to have been decommissioned.

Origins: cylinder seals and back-engineering

Burisch claims to trace the Looking Glass technology to instructions allegedly encoded on cylinder seals predating the Sumerian era, which he alleges were placed in the ancient past by P-45 J-Rods — purported future humans travelling back through time — to reportedly ensure that the technology would be developed and used, thereby triggering the catastrophe that allegedly gave rise to their own history. Cylinder seals from Iraq, Egypt, and other countries were allegedly collected by the United States and reportedly used to develop first the Einstein-Rosen bridge accessing devices (stargates) and then, as a purported back-engineered derivative, the Looking Glass.

Burisch also stated that the Looking Glass was back-engineered from recovered non-human craft technology alongside the cylinder-seal instructions. Will Uhouse — son of Bill Uhouse, the avionics engineer who back-engineered alien reconnaissance vehicle equipment — reported seeing one of the earliest Looking Glass demonstrations in the early to mid-1970s, involving a rail gun projectile exhibiting a time-delay effect.

The Yellow Book, also called the Cube — a separate device of Orion origin handed to Dwight Eisenhower — is described by Burisch as a variant of the same underlying technology, distinguished by reacting emotionally to those present rather than providing objective probability output.

Technology

The Looking Glass device is described as a reverse-engineered extraterrestrial apparatus that warps local spacetime to project visual representations of probable future events. The device represents a reduced back-engineered derivative of Einstein-Rosen bridge accessing device technology, capable only of temporal viewing rather than enabling physical transit.

Development and operation

Research and development on Project Looking Glass was allegedly conducted from the 1960s through the 2000s at highly secured facilities, principally the S-4 facility at Area 51. The project was managed by high-level officials from the Majestic 12 group. Early experiments involving movement of mass through the apparatus reportedly resulted in at least one fatality. In the case of at least one program participant, Bill Uhouse at Los Alamos, it involved face-to-face interactions with crash-retrieved Grey aliens who came to be known as J-Rods and who provided technical guidance on both the flight simulator and related back-engineering efforts. The program also explored the convergent timeline paradox, studying how observation of future probabilities could influence outcomes.

The primary purpose of the program was to forecast potential future events and evaluate the probabilities of various outcomes. The device displayed multiple possible futures, which operators statistically analyzed — recording output at high speed, de-interlacing the video by computer, and measuring the relative time spent on each image — to determine the likelihood of events occurring. These capabilities extended to studying how artificial manipulation of wormholes and stargate technology might influence global events such as wars, natural disasters, and geopolitical shifts.

India reportedly gained access to Looking Glass technology at approximately the same time as the United States, under terms negotiated when Indira Gandhi's government brokered India's inclusion in the Committee of the Majority to prevent the Soviet Union from establishing a competing separate treaty system with extraterrestrial delegates.

J-Rods and the convergent timeline paradox

According to Burisch, Looking Glass devices were unable to produce usable data beyond December 21, 2012, which he described as a temporal nexus where probable timelines converged. Accounts from captured J-Rod extraterrestrial biological entities — designated P-45s, from approximately 45,000 years in the future — described a catastrophic destruction of Earth around that date, caused by Looking Glass and stargate devices being operated during a major celestial alignment that overloaded the planet's energy grid. The P-52 J-Rod Chi'el'ah, whom Burisch worked with directly at the S-4 clean sphere, was 7,000 years further along the same degraded timeline from the P-45s and carried the long-term consequences of that catastrophe in his species' biology.

Before shutdown, Looking Glass probability outputs gave a 19% chance — with 85% confidence — of the catastrophic transition from Timeline 1 to Timeline 2, leaving an 81% probability of the positive outcome. Burisch also identified the Illuminati as a Cabal-aligned faction that wanted to provoke the catastrophic transition — not because they wished to become P-45s, but because population culling would leave elite groups with guaranteed underground survival positions in control; he described these groups as the probable progenitors of the J-Rod lineage.

Burisch further states that every act of alleged time travel by the J-Rods created small paradoxes that accumulated as distortions in present-day reality — a process he described as "Newtonian superimposing" — and that this accumulation, combined with inappropriate technological amplification of natural energy flows, was the deeper mechanism driving the catastrophic timeline.

Majestic 12 predictive use and the catastrophe figure

In a July 2006 interview with Kerry Cassidy for Project Camelot, Burisch elaborated on how Majestic 12 had used Looking Glass output as a strategic prediction tool at the organizational level, not merely for observational research. Cassidy's associate Marcia McDowell held up the initials "LG" during the session, signalling to Burisch that Majestic had used Looking Glass to foresee that the first son of MJ-1 was going to die — and had accordingly identified and groomed Burisch to carry on in his place. The same 2006 interview also produced Burisch's most precise account of the geophysical death toll associated with the catastrophic timeline: the J-Rod historical records described more than 4 billion 157 million dead over a several-year period following the Looking Glass– and stargate-induced overloading of Earth's energy grid during the galactic-plane crossing.

Stargates of Iraq

Burisch linked Looking Glass to physical stargate devices that had been located in Iraq, claiming that working stargate-activating equipment was present in that country as late as early 2003. He alleged that securing these devices before other factions was a motivating factor in the 2003 invasion of Iraq, with the UN weapons inspection process unknowingly serving as a locating mechanism. He further claimed that Muammar Gaddafi had received two pieces of stargate-activating technology transferred from Saddam Hussein, and handed them over to the United States under the cover of his weapons-of-mass-destruction disarmament agreement.

Looking Glass data was also reportedly used to anticipate the September 11 attacks: according to Burisch, by the mid-1990s the program had detected a high-probability Islamic extremist attack on the United States, and the 9/11 attacks were assessed as the least-catastrophic of the probable outcomes at that decision node. Project Camelot also documented broader analyses of the probabilities associated with future events, including potential geopolitical shifts and natural disasters.

Intelligence applications

Bill Wood (William Brockbrader), a self-described former United States Navy SEAL, claimed in a 2012 Project Camelot interview with Kerry Cassidy that he was recruited into a classified program and worked directly with Looking Glass probability data as a professional analytical tool — tasked with running scenarios through the quantum probability outputs to advise on covert operations and predict the outcomes of planned actions. Wood corroborates Burisch's description of the two-timeline convergence and the 2012 nexus point, describing the Looking Glass data as confirming a consistent pattern of converging timelines that could not be diverted no matter what scenarios were run — a discovery he describes as deeply disturbing to analysts who had hoped the positive timeline could be guaranteed.

Wood's reliability is heavily contested: although presented as a United States Navy SEAL, he does not appear among documented SEAL graduates — an absence his account, like Burisch's, attributes to the routine sealing of special-operations and black-program service records.[citation needed] He was also convicted of sex crimes and was sought as a fugitive for failing to register as a sex offendor, although he claimed that his prosecution was in retaliation for disclosing confidential information.[citation needed]

Decommissioning

By the early 2000s, concerns about the potential misuse of the technology and catastrophic outcomes prompted efforts to dismantle Looking Glass and related stargate devices. According to Burisch, all Looking Glass devices were decommissioned, with their three components separated and reportedly distributed among the European Union, the United Nations, and NATO, so that no single party could independently reassemble a functioning unit. The decommissioning was seen as a preventative measure to avoid triggering the predicted global catastrophe associated with the activation of these devices during significant celestial alignments. Burisch noted in 2007 that he expected the equipment would be reassembled around 2016–2017, once the galactic-plane crossing period was safely past.

Burisch expressed personal opposition to the program's entire existence: "We should have never built [the Looking Glass]. That was done because of our own shortcomings as people who aspire to things that we maybe shouldn't try to grab ahold of."

Disclosure

The first detailed public account of Looking Glass came through researcher Bill Hamilton, whose inside source Marcia McDowell compiled technical notes on the device's components and published them in April 2006 on the Project Camelot website. A far more extensive account came through Project Camelot's June 2007 video interview of Burisch, conducted by Kerry Cassidy in Las Vegas; the published transcript covered the device's relationship to stargate technology, the Tau-9 treaty system, the Yellow Book, the Iraq stargate claims, the 9/11 probability data, and the decommissioning arrangements. A second part of the Stargate Secrets interview expanded on the program's scope and its connection to the broader treaty system. Earlier Project Camelot interviews with Burisch from approximately 2004–2005 also documented aspects of the program. Italian researcher Paola Harris also published an early interview with Burisch touching on the device's technical specifications.

An independent early reference to the program came from Bob Lazar, who described "Project Looking Glass" as a companion program to Project Galileo at S-4, concerned with "any effects of time on the craft — small distortions, intentional distortions of time and how that can be used" as part of a weapons program. Bill Ryan of Project Camelot characterised it as "a time portal telescope thing... you see the future," an alleged classified intelligence project tasked with identifying the most probable future timeline.

Corey Goode later stated he had reviewed documentation relating to the project during his alleged secret space program service. In 2012, Bill Wood (William Brockbrader) gave an extended interview with Kerry Cassidy for Project Camelot, describing his own role working with Looking Glass probability outputs in an operational intelligence context; this interview introduced a second independent whistleblower account specifically focused on the analytical and intelligence-application dimension of the program. In subsequent years the topic spread into the broader secret space program disclosure community, with discussions of Looking Glass technology circulating in podcast communities including a Typical Skeptic Podcast episode examining Looking Glass tech alongside the broader SSP context. Beginning in 2017, the anonymous internet figure known as "Q" made repeated cryptic references to "Looking Glass" in posts that circulated widely in online communities, substantially broadening public awareness of the term and its association with alleged classified time travel and timeline-management programs.[citation needed]

Broader claims of Looking Glass technology

Brad Johnson, a channeler and researcher, has claimed in an Exopolitics Today interview with Michael Salla that "human guardians on the moon" possess looking glass technology and use it to monitor timelines, identify sabotage opportunities against programs such as CERN, and prevent catastrophic outcomes — describing a process of looking at "all these different events that have led to basically looking at very horrendous timelines and how they can prevent it." Separately, in an interview on the Journey to Truth podcast, Kerry Cassidy relayed an account from a former military officer stationed in England whose executive officer shared in 2005 that "under every military base" there is looking glass technology capable of looking "down the timeline" with "94% accuracy."

Similarities to the fictional Stargate franchise

The descriptions of Project Looking Glass have marked similarities to the plot of the science fiction film Stargate (1994) and its television sequel Stargate SG-1 (1997). Burisch described a portal in the town of Abydos in Egypt, while Stargate features a portal that leads to a planet called Abydos; the project operates deep underground at an Air Force base in both accounts; and the role of ancient civilization records as a key to the technology is common to both. Burisch's earliest documented work at S-4 dates to 1994, overlapping with the October 1994 release of Stargate. His book Eagles Disobey was published in 1998, one year after Stargate SG-1 premiered. On another reading the influence runs the other way — the Stargate franchise as an instance of soft disclosure akin to predictive programming, with details changed as deliberate disinformation. Exopolitics researcher Michael Salla, drawing on the secret space program testimony of Corey Goode, argues the producers were "given the key ideas that would disclose the highly advanced science used for portal travel, using fiction as a cover," and points to the USAF and Space Command cooperation credited on the series — including a cameo by the sitting Air Force Chief of Staff, General Michael E. Ryan — as a mark of official involvement. Against this, the chronology is the central objection: Burisch's public account post-dates the October 1994 release of Stargate and reproduces its core premise, which on a skeptical reading indicates that the testimony drew on the films rather than the reverse.

The comedy 100th episode of Stargate SG-1, "Wormhole X-Treme!" (aired September 8, 2001), plays with a similar idea — a show-within-a-show in which an amnesiac alien creates an exaggerated, farcical television version of the team's own Stargate program and sells it to a studio; rather than shut the production down, the Air Force keeps it on the air as cover, reasoning that the fictional show lends plausible deniability to the existence of the real program. Writer Martin Rezny has singled out the episode as the series documenting its own cover mechanism, glossing its premise as "what if there was a show that was based on real-life secret programs, so that whenever the real secrets leak, everybody believes that it's just stuff from the show?" The episode aired three days before the September 11 attacks, a proximity that a reading within the disclosure community treats as more than coincidence — given Looking Glass's alleged advance detection of the same event, the self-referential premise of a fictional show openly "about" a real secret program, broadcast to a mass audience on the eve of the attack, is read as a deliberate signal to the public that the program is real.[citation needed] Such pre-event disclosure in fictional form is the pattern Michael A. Hoffman II termed the Revelation of the Method — the convention by which those enacting a covert design reveal it beforehand in coded or symbolic form, the disclosure itself serving to spread complicity to a public that fails to act on it.

Legacy and influence

Project Looking Glass has influenced popular culture, where themes of time travel, futuristic predictions, and secret government projects are explored. The concept of using advanced technology to observe and potentially alter future probabilities connects to quantum mechanics and multiverse theories and allegations of parallel or alternate timelines.

Numerous interviews by alleged witnesses, notably produced by Project Camelot, have documented the scope and legacy of Project Looking Glass and its relationship to humanity's quest to understand and control its potential futures.
