The Mars Defense Force (MDF) is an alleged military contracting agency purportedly responsible for ground combat and security on Mars, reportedly operating under the Mars Colony Corporation (MCC), a corporate entity allegedly administering human settlement and operations on Mars, itself described as part of the Interplanetary Corporate Conglomerate (ICC), an alleged consortium of Earth aerospace corporations purportedly operating manufacturing bases throughout the solar system. Personnel were drawn primarily from Five Eyes nations — the United States, Canada, Britain, Australia, and New Zealand — and were tasked with protecting human colonies and engaging indigenous reptoid and insectoid species in territorial combat. According to Cramer, a trilateral peace treaty allegedly bound US Marines, reptoids, and insectoids to mutual protection of indigenous sacred sites and to joint defense of Mars against the Draconians, who were purportedly driven from the planet.

Operations and structure

According to Randy Cramer, MDF headquarters were located at Aries Prime, described as the main human colony on Mars. Deployed personnel allegedly operated primarily at forward stations such as Forward Station Zebra, purportedly protecting five known human colonies from incursion by indigenous species. Infantry MDF soldiers were reportedly recruited young — Cramer reports being enrolled at approximately age 17 — and allegedly served standard 20-year tours of duty, with an initial 17-year ground infantry deployment before promotion to pilot status in an air wing.

Engagements with indigenous reptoids were described as primarily territorial in nature; Cramer noted that the reptoids possessed psionic abilities that, had they been fully deployed, would have ended the conflict quickly — but the reptoids deliberately "pulled punches," handling MDF soldiers with notable restraint. MDF soldiers eventually made peaceful contact with the insectoid population; Cramer describes initiating contact by approaching an insectoid individually and receiving permission to bring additional personnel, which he then reported to his commanding officer as a successful first contact.

Female personnel also served in the MDF. Rebecca Rose reportedly served as a pilot in early MDF operations, allegedly flying older craft in base security patrols and claiming frequent interactions with mantis-type entities on Mars, which she described with respect.

Earlier alleged service: 1976–1996

Michael Relfe published the earliest substantial account of Mars Defense Force service in the 2000 book The Mars Records, authored with his wife Stephanie Relfe. Relfe claims he joined the Navy in 1976 and was recruited into the MDF through a covert midnight approach at his barracks, led through a camouflaged room into an underground tunnel leading to a "jump gate" — described as a tunnel through hyperspace — beneath the Great Lakes base, through which he was transported to Mars. During his alleged tour, Relfe claims his psychic abilities were artificially enhanced and that he progressed from passive remote viewing through remote influencing to psychic assassination, ultimately claiming 70 terminations of human VIPs, extraterrestrial entities, and synthetic life forms. He reportedly later requested and received assignment as a space fighter pilot, continuing to use telepathic abilities in combat roles.

Salla's comparative analysis of the Relfe and Cramer testimonies concludes that their accounts — produced independently fourteen years apart — show sufficient similarity in recruitment procedures, operational conditions, and communication blackouts to mutually corroborate the core claim of extended MDF service, while the greater detail according to Cramer suggests minimal cross-contamination.
