The Ashtar Command (also called the Ashtar Galactic Command) is an alleged extraterrestrial military organization centered on a being known as "Ashtar Sheran," first publicly reported by American contactee George Van Tassel on July 18, 1952, when he received a telepathic transmission while sleeping in his hangar at Giant Rock, California, from "Ashtar, commandant quadra sector, patrol station Schare," warning humanity that atomic weapons testing threatened the stability of the solar system. Van Tassel expanded the transmissions in Into This World and Out Again (1956), launching a tradition of Ashtar channeling that has continued across multiple generations of contactees and channels.

Origins (1952)

Van Tassel (1910–1978), an aircraft mechanic who had worked for Howard Hughes and Lockheed, moved to the Mojave Desert and operated Giant Rock Airport adjacent to the world's largest freestanding boulder. His July 18, 1952 contact — in a year of intense US UFO sightings including the 1952 Washington, D.C., UFO incident — inaugurated a regular channeling practice. He subsequently organized the Spacecraft Convention at Giant Rock, which ran from 1954 to 1978. He also built the Integratron, an electrostatic rejuvenation device designed from plans received telepathically.

1977 Vrillon broadcast

On November 26, 1977, a signal identifying itself as "Commander Vrillon" of the Ashtar Galactic Command interrupted television broadcasts in the UK, delivering a message warning of dark forces and urging humanity toward peace. Per Elena Danaan in A Gift from the Stars, this was an authorized transmission from the Ashtar Command's Jupiter outpost: "In 1977, Co-Commander Vrillon from the Jupiter outpost of the Ashtar Command, was authorized to deliver a transmission via your radio frequencies."

Project World Evacuation

After Van Tassel's death in 1978, channeler Tuella (Thelma B. Terrell) became the primary Ashtar conduit, compiling Project World Evacuation: By the Ashtar Command (Guardian Action International, 1982), which described a planned extraterrestrial-assisted evacuation of qualifying souls from Earth ahead of a global cataclysm. The framework circulated in New Age communities through the 1980s via cassette tapes and newsletters.

Structure and terminology

Per Danaan's A Gift from the Stars, "Ashtar" is a title, not a personal name — derived from the Sirian language: "Ash means bright light in the ancient common Sirian language, Tar means the seat, Khera stands for central power." According to Danaan, the organization originated when the Alpha Draconian Empire's takeover of the Orion systems allegedly triggered a defensive coalition among Sirian Ashkeru humanoids.

The Ashtar Collective was, according to Danaan, subsequently infiltrated by Draco reptilians agents: "due to significant infiltrations and corruption by agents of the Alpha Draconian Empire, a rebel faction, mainly humanoids, separated from the Ashtar Collective and took side with the Galactic Federation of Worlds." The Ashtar Collective (now allegedly Reptilian-controlled) was reportedly involved in providing technology for the Philadelphia Experiment and the Montauk Project, and in importing Ebola biological material to Earth; these covenants were reportedly ended by the Galactic Federation of Worlds.

The Ashtar Galactic Command operates from a mobile headquarters — "a large moving Mothership" — and in the Terran system maintains an outpost on Jupiter, described as a "huge floating city, an unattackable citadel" built with Ashkeru architectural technology.

Contemporary debate: infiltration vs. rank-and-file

Michael Salla presented a nuanced framing of the Ashtar Command/Galactic Command's current status: rank-and-file Ashtar Galactic Command forces have allegedly been actively involved in the Earth Alliance's clearing of underground bases, Satanist facilities, and negative ET installations — while there is a parallel debate about whether the organizational leadership has been compromised or "a little too permissive" in allowing the Cabal to operate for as long as it did. Salla noted: "It's important to differentiate between the rank and file that are doing all the heavy lifting in clearing out these underground bases, the Satanists, the negative ETs, and the leadership that may be compromised at some level."

Jupiter outpost role

The Jupiter outpost of the Ashtar Galactic Command also served as the venue for the Jupiter Agreements negotiations in July 2021 — referred to in Thor Han's messages as the "Shari facility." The Cabal leadership was explicitly excluded from this facility: the elites "would not be tolerated in the Shari facility of the Ashlar Galactic Command" and were instead required to attend separate meetings in Antarctica.

Physical description of the Jupiter outpost

Elena Danaan reportedly visited the Jupiter outpost of the Ashtar Galactic Command in person (conveyed aboard Thor Han Eredyon's vessel), and describes it as a vast city built under a gigantic dome, set within one of Jupiter's atmospheric layers. The facility is in fact a ship that landed "a very long time ago" when the Galactic Federation of Worlds requested assistance protecting the solar system. Per Danaan: "Protected under a gigantic dome, the Jovian city extended with its glistening roads, bridges and buildings, across a vast surface." She describes arriving in the landing bay with purple neon fluorescent lights, and then being transported on a floating vehicle through silvery towers before emerging into a great hall filled with light, with bay windows showing Jupiter's clouds outside.

According to Danaan, the facility's communications systems actively monitor all thought-traffic of visitors: once inside Jupiter's orbit, "everything you will say and think will be monitored by the Ashtar Command's security system."

Anasii — Ashtar Colonial Offshoot

In Encyclopedia Galactica Volume I (2024), Danaan describes the Anasii as a colony of Ahel Pleiadians originating from Sirius B (Thula) who settled the Dondagat system (Kepler 2-138) early in that system's history. The Anasii trace their lineage directly to the Ashtar Alliance era: when the cultures of the Ashkera systems could not withstand the Alliance of Six, they formed the Ashtar Alliance, which was then infiltrated by Reptilian agents; the separatist group that eventually became the Ashtar Galactic Command colonized Dondagat in the process, giving rise to the Anasii culture.

Jupiter station "Shan" and hub security

Thor Han Eredyon, reporting through Elena Danaan, identifies the Ashtar Galactic Command facility in the upper atmosphere of Jupiter by the name "Shan." Thor Han explained that the station is a military installation not designed for commercial traffic: "The Galactic Command station named Shan is not a trading facility. And it has its limited surface." As the volume of interstellar traders seeking access to the now-liberated solar system grew beyond the station's capacity, the decision was taken — at the initiative of the Intergalactic Confederation and with the Earth Alliance holding the final word — to construct a dedicated commercial hub separate from Shan.

Danaan describes the Ashtar Command as the force tasked with guarding the entry vortex to the solar system from the hub: "If you come by the vortex and you are taken in hand by the Ashtar Command who is the military force that will guard... that is guarding the vortex, you will be monitored and you know if you have bad intentions you'll be kicked back." Access fees paid by incoming traders flow to the Earth Alliance as custodian of the solar system.
