Angels
Angels — the divine messengers described across the Hebrew Bible, New Testament, and Islamic scripture — are re-interpreted as non-human intelligent beings operating with advanced technology who were perceived as supernatural by ancient witnesses lacking a scientific frame of reference. Within this re-interpretation, some accounts class the angelic beings — together with demons and jinn — not as physical extraterrestrials but as interdimensional beings, with Greer and others placing them among the entities long present on Earth that operate across dimensions rather than arriving by spacecraft.[citation needed] Biblical scholar and ET experiencer Ella LeBain, author of the six-volume Who's Who in the Cosmic Zoo, argues that multiple categories of beings described in the Hebrew Bible — Elohim, Mal'achim, Bene ha-Elohim — correspond to distinct NHI species or factions, each with different agendas toward humanity.
Classification system
Biblical texts describe a hierarchy of angelic beings with distinct physiologies. In the exopolitics and ancient astronaut framework, these classes correspond to different NHI species or craft types:
-
Seraphim (Hebrew: "burning ones") — described in Isaiah 6 as having six wings and surrounding the divine throne. Diana Pasulka, religious historian, reports that aerospace and intelligence community researchers privately classify Ezekiel's vision as depicting "what's most likely a seraphim" — and that this identification is acknowledged among specialists who "won't say it publicly."
-
Cherubim — described as guardians of sacred precincts (Eden, the Ark of the Covenant). Billy Carson, researcher and author of The Emerald Tablets of Thoth, identifies the golden cherubim atop the Ark of the Covenant as components of an advanced electrical device: "It's this box with these cherubims on it but these cherubims are really — it's really a capacitor. It generates a lot of electricity inside of this box."
-
Ophanim (also Galgalim; "wheels") — the wheel-like beings in Ezekiel's vision, interpreted as either the living craft themselves or a distinct class of beings associated with craft propulsion. The Merkabah mystical tradition treats the ophanim as the innermost angelic class attending the divine throne. Pasulka describes the Merkabah tradition as "a whole historical, mystical lineage that goes back to ancient Judaism" based on repeated encounters with beings who "would impart and transmit this intense Gnostic wisdom."
Fallen angels as Watchers
The "fallen angels" — those who descended from their original station and intermarried with human women — are identified in the Book of Enoch as the Watchers (Grigori), a class of 200 beings who descended on Mount Hermon under the leadership of Azazel and Semjaza. In the exopolitics interpretation, the fall of the Watchers represents an unsanctioned defection from a GFW-sanctioned oversight role. The technology transmission they conducted — metallurgy, weapons, astrology, sorcery — constitutes a prohibited intervention in humanity's developmental trajectory. Isaac Weishaupt connects the Watcher/fallen angel narrative directly to the modern UFO contact pattern: "These fallen angels came to the earth and they taught mankind how to do various occult practices... they were trading this technology with man to get access to these women."
Distinct ontological categories
Danny Henderson, experiencer and author of Angels, Demons, and Aliens (2023), explicitly disputes the conflation of these categories, arguing from a lifetime of direct contact encounters that angels, demons, and extraterrestrials are ontologically separate entities — not different names for the same being or the same type of encounter: "Angels, demons and aliens are separate entities. However, there are some dark, demonic, lower vibrational, earthbound, etc. entities that can mimic the angelic and the good ETs. Absolutely." Henderson's taxonomy distinguishes between beings of genuinely angelic character, technologically advanced but morally diverse ET species, and lower-vibrational non-physical entities — a framework that challenges both the ancient astronaut reduction (angels = aliens) and the fundamentalist conflation (aliens = demons).
Cross-cultural parallels
The angel-as-NHI framework extends beyond the biblical tradition. Jason Jorjani, philosopher and author of Prometheus and Atlas, argues that the same two-faction NHI dynamic encoded in the Elohim/rebel-angel split appears across every major human religious tradition: the Devas and Asuras in Hindu Vedic scripture, the gods and Titans in the Greek tradition, the Anunnaki and Igigi in Sumerian myth. "In the Mahabharata and the Ramayana, the devas and the asuras — what in the Greek language we might call the gods and the Titans — are exactly the same beings as the Elohim in the Bible, or the rebel angels, the Nephilim in the biblical context. They're the same beings as the Anunnaki in Sumerian scriptures, where again you have two factions. This idea that there are two factions runs through every human religious belief system on the planet throughout the course of history."
