Contact between humans and non-human intelligence

Contact with non-human intelligent beings refers to reported encounters, communications, or sustained relationships between human individuals and non-human intelligent beings (NHI beings). Contact spans a spectrum from one-time sightings and brief encounters to ongoing telepathic or physical relationships maintained over decades. It is one of several modalities of human–non-human intelligent being interactions, distinct from abduction (which implies coercion), combat, or formal diplomatic engagement.

Sustained contact (contactees)

A contactee is an individual who maintains an ongoing relationship with an identified NHI group — typically over years or decades — through telepathic, physical, or both modes of communication. The contactee tradition began publicly with George Adamski in the 1950s and continues with modern figures including Elena Danaan, Alex Collier, Corey Goode, and Orfeo Angelucci. Abduction

Abduction refers to involuntary contact in which an individual is taken, examined, and returned — typically with memory suppression. Abductions are generally attributed to Grey, Insectoid, or Reptilian entities, though the specific group varies by case. The first widely publicized case was the Betty and Barney Hill abduction in 1961.

Channeling is the reception of communication from an NHI source through an altered state of consciousness, with the channeler serving as a conduit. Distinct from direct voice or physical contact.

Contact events have also occurred at the government or military level.

Witness classes

Contactees and abductees are not monolithic. Research has identified subcategories including star seeds (souls said to have incarnated into human bodies from NHI origins), walk-ins (souls said to have exchanged with a human soul mid-life), experiencers (a broader neutral term), and MILAB subjects (abductees subsequently re-abducted by human military personnel).
