Intelligent beings on Venus figure in two distinct traditions within the UFO contact literature: the 1950s–1960s contactee movement, in which Venusians were described as physically beautiful humanoids visiting Earth in classic disc-shaped craft; and the contemporary ET-disclosure framework, in which Venus harbors a civilization existing primarily in a higher-dimensional or inner-planetary form inaccessible to ordinary observation.
Contactee era: George Adamski
George Adamski initiated the Venusian contact tradition with his claimed November 1952 meeting in the California desert with a being named Orthon from Venus. Orthon was described as tall, fair, long-haired, and communicating via hand gestures and telepathy. Adamski subsequently described being taken aboard Venusian craft and meeting Venusian masters in several books.

Valiant Thor (1957–1960)
The most detailed Venusian contact claim of the Cold War era concerns Valiant Thor, described by Frank Stranges in his 1967 book Stranger at the Pentagon. Inner-dimensional Venus

Under this framework, Venus is not a naturally formed planet but an engineered body, which may account for the inner-dimensional or higher-vibrational quality of the civilization described by Elena Danaan and earlier contactees — a civilization whose physical substrate is not a native world but a repurposed Reptilian transport of cosmic scale.
Danaan's journeys to Venus
Two visits to the subterranean civilization of Venus are documented, undertaken with Thor Han Eredyon and the Egaroth councilor Annax. The physical surface of Venus — a furnace of desolate landscape beneath a dusty sky laced with sulfuric acid — is bypassed through an entry airlock concealed in a crater, which leads via a descending corridor to a vast underground realm. The interior is described as a complex of hundreds of biodomes beneath the Venusian surface, each containing its own artificial sun powered by antimatter: "Each biodome has its own artificial sun, powered by antimatter. The metallic dome you saw on the surface, before we entered the tunnel, was just a small element of this one... They are not exactly domes, but rather complex structures. There are hundreds of them underneath the surface of this planet." The Taal people who escorted Danaan wore white uniforms shimmering with golden metal particles and ancient Greek-style helmets, and transported visitors in floating antigravity vehicles. On a second visit, the city of Val Thor's family appeared at night beneath a holographic dome sky reproducing the starry heavens: "Reproducing the starry heavens as it would be visible from the ground of the valley, a multitude of orbs of all sizes floated under the vault of the underground dome, in a mesmerizing ballet of fairy lights."
Valiant Thor in Russia
Val Thor's diplomatic activities extended beyond the United States. In a channeled account, Val Thor described a parallel mission to the Soviet Union: he attempted to convince Nikita Khrushchev to refuse agreements with the Nebu and their allies, and to accept the Galactic Federation of Worlds' offer of protection at no cost. Khrushchev declined on the grounds that accepting military protection from a superior civilization would put Russia in a position of political debt — "In this country, Russia, that is how everything always worked: protection has a dear price." Thor reported that the Soviets were respectful and courteous but deeply suspicious of his intentions, and that the Americans, by contrast, attempted to trick or harm him by seeking access to Venusian technology for exclusive military use.
Underground Venusian civilization claims
Arkheim Ra, a self-described Montauk Project survivor, claims personal experience in an alternate Venus, describing the civilization as a steampunk underground culture with a rave music and dance music scene. Ra also claims that Elon Musk originates from Venus.

Stranges was described as eager to "spread the word of Commander Thor" to any journalists who expressed genuine interest — noting that Thor did not inform him of his whereabouts at every moment, which Stranges accepted as appropriate given the sensitivity of Thor's mission. The podcast characterizes Stranges as having built his entire public ministry around the Venusian contact, making him unique among 1950s contactees in the degree to which he documented Thor's continued association with him over decades, including claims that Thor appeared at Stranges's conferences and maintained ongoing communication.
