Service to self
Service to self (STS) is the negative polarity of the Law of One cosmology: the orientation, chosen in third density, in which a being consciously sets out to manipulate other-selves for its own benefit and which, carried to about ninety-five percent dedication, graduates at the harvest into negative fourth density. Ra, the social memory complex that spoke through Carla Rueckert at L/L Research in 1981–1984, treats it as a path chosen by free will — "Some love the light. Some love the darkness" — and as one of two orientations whose polarity supplies "the charge" for work in consciousness. Its pole-opposite is service to others; the two share the parent framework of the densities of consciousness and the harvest between them, and Ra says the positive/negative polarity "will, at the sixth level, simply become history."
Ra names the Orion Group as a service-to-self collective that works through telepathic contact and through elites recruited on Earth. Corey Goode and other later secret space program insiders extend the label to the secret societies that, according to Goode, manipulate humanity's "co creative consciousness," and Michael Salla's 2026 briefing sorts the higher and interdimensional entities by their view of humanity, from "a valuable resource to be exploited" to "agents for positive transformative change." Steven Greer has argued against using the polarity to classify extraterrestrial civilizations at all, and the contactee vocabulary of "negative ETs" is a separate classification, that of positive and negative extraterrestrial factions.
Onset in third density
Ra locates the origin of the orientation in the passage from second to third density. A second-density being serves a self that includes its tribe or pack, which Ra calls a distortion "without polarity"; the break appears "when the entity perceives other-selves as other-selves and consciously determines to manipulate other-selves for the benefit of the self." The majority of third-density beings, Ra says, are "far along the chosen path before realization of that path is conscious." Ra says a being who has polarized further changes polarity more easily, because it has more power and awareness, and calls "truly helpless" only those who "repeat patterns without knowledge of the repetition or the meaning of the pattern."
Goode says he found out his own service-to-others percentage and that it was "very low, much lower than I thought"; he holds that "very few of the population" are as close to the fifty percent Ra requires as they think.
Graduation and the negative path
Ra gives the requirement for negative harvest as "five percent service to others, ninety-five percent service to self," which "must approach totality," and calls the negative path "quite difficult to attain harvestability upon." Ra attributes the difficulty to the Law of One, which makes the gateway to intelligent infinity a gateway "at the end of a strait and narrow path," and says that reaching fifty-one percent dedication to others is as hard as reaching five percent, with "the sinkhole of indifference" between the two. Ra describes a single harvest, after which those who enter fourth density "may choose the manner of their further seeking of the One Creator," and says that self-service planetary spheres are "much fewer" than positive ones. Ra expected the positively oriented harvestable on Earth to greatly outnumber the negatively oriented harvestable, with the great majority of Earth's people repeating third density.
In negative fourth density, Ra says, the being sincerely believes that "to love self is to love all," and each other-self it teaches or enslaves "has a teacher which teaches love of self." Ra says the blue energy is missing from the negatively oriented system, while the positive has the full spectrum, yet "each is capable of doing fourth-density work." Ra distinguishes the auras: the violet ray of positive fourth density is tinged with green, blue and indigo, that of negative fourth density with muddied red, orange and yellow. A large percentage of negative fourth-density entities, Ra says, continue the negative path into fifth density.
The path is described as ending in the sixth density. After fifth-density graduation wisdom must be matched with love, which Ra calls "very, very difficult to achieve in unity when following the negative path," so that in the earlier part of sixth density negative societies "will choose to release the potential and leap into the sixth-density positive." The sixth-density negative entity, Ra says, "observes the spiritual entropy occurring due to the lack of ability to express the unity of sixth density" and "consciously chooses an instantaneous energy reorientation so that it may continue its evolution."
The Orion group
Ra describes the Orion Group as a negatively polarized body working within the Law of One: it makes contact "with those who call," and those on the planet who take up its philosophy "become the elite," through whom "the remainder of the planetary entities are enslaved by their own free will." Its telepathic teaching promulgates "the philosophy of the Law of One with the distortion of service to self," in which manipulating others is the service that lets them experience service toward an other-self. Ra says the Orion group does better working through those of the planet than by landing, since a mass landing would infringe on free will and "create a loss of polarization." Ra attributed an episode of rapid heart rate and stomach pain affecting Rueckert to a negative greeting, saying the experience "was energized by the Orion group" while its proximate cause was a supplement she had ingested.
Control structures on Earth
Goode places the orientation in the human secret societies, the hierarchy of The Cabal.[citation needed] In his account a mass meditation of some 200,000 people, which he was told was needed to reach an "optimal temporal reality," pivoted humanity away from a timeline of "open rule by the Orion Group" in which the population would be "greatly reduced" and "live openly as slaves," a pivot he says took "a fraction of 1%" of humanity because the Orion Group and "the secret societies that run the planet" had been manipulating humanity's co-creative consciousness. Laura Eisenhower describes the Saturn moon matrix as a technological expression of the same orientation: a system broadcasting an artificial reality that suppresses human consciousness and blocks access to higher-density service-to-others frequencies.
Applying the polarity to extraterrestrial civilizations
Greer, in a 2009 interview with Bill Ryan and Carrie Cassidy of Project Camelot, argued that sorting extraterrestrial civilizations into service to self and service to others is "already creating a new cosmological us versus them," "the absolute recapitulation of the mistake on Earth for the last 10,000 years," and that the path of wisdom is "education," peaceful engagement and "higher states of consciousness," with the beings of purely selfish interest the ones "I would want to meet with first" through "a diplomatic initiative." In the same exchange Greer suggested that there may be a wiser cosmic order in which a civilization must reach peace before it is allowed to travel among the stars, so that "the entry ticket is peace," and Ryan answered that Project Camelot's "witness testimony would contradict that."
