Ooganga

The Ooganga are a non-human species of genetically engineered warriors from Uruud Prime — an artificially engineered planet in the Bellatrix (Orion) system — hybridized from Grey Reptiloids and a local Insectoid species. Their massive contingents are garrisoned in stationary combat motherships in the Uruud system, a prepared cloned army of the Orion Empire held in readiness.

Origins and design

The Ooganga were created as a purpose-built warrior race — the Orion Empire's answer to a standing army that could be mass-produced and deployed without the complications of individuated consciousness. Uruud Prime is described as an artificially engineered planet, indicating the Bellatrix system was itself modified for the Orion Empire's military infrastructure, the Ooganga forces being kept in continuous readiness in stationary combat motherships.

Taal-Shiar hybridisation

The Taal-Shiar — a renegade faction of Taali humanoids — used Ooganga reptilian genetics to create a second-generation hybrid super-soldier race used as enforcement troops within the Reptilian Collective. These Taal-Shiar/Ooganga hybrid soldiers possess psychic and muscular abilities, have robotic cybernetic components integrated into their bodies, and operate under a hive-mind system analogous to the Nebu Grey collective.

Jahya Council

The Ooganga also hold a place within the Jahya Council — a political-military body composed of Taali, Ooganga, and, more recently, Maytrei — that operates within the Taal-Shiar political sphere. A renegade Taal-Shiar defector identified as "Akvaaru" stated that he left this body because he disagreed with the tactics employed there: "I left because this is not my way of thinking. I'm a free spirit, I am sovereign, and no system will tell me what I need to think."
