Courtney Brown

Courtney Brown, PhD, is an associate professor of political science at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, founder and director of the Farsight Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to remote viewing research, and the author of works applying scientific remote viewing (SRV) to the investigation of ancient civilizations, extraterrestrial intelligence, and current events.

Biography

Academic background

Brown holds a PhD in political science from Washington University in St. Louis and specializes in nonlinear mathematical modeling at Emory. He was trained in remote viewing by Ed Dames, a former officer in the U.S. Army's STARGATE program. He does not conduct Farsight research through his university role, teaching statistics and nonlinear mathematics courses at Emory separately.

Farsight Institute

Farsight Institute

Brown founded the Farsight Institute to apply scientific remote viewing protocols to targets including non-human intelligent beings, secret space programs, and historical events. The institute's methodology, projects, and findings are covered in Farsight Institute.

Disclosure and public activities

The Hale-Bopp controversy

In 1997, Brown became the focus of significant public controversy after a Farsight remote viewer claimed to have detected a large companion object trailing the Hale-Bopp comet. The announcement preceded the Heaven's Gate mass suicide, whose members also believed a craft was following the comet. Brown maintains the Farsight claim and the Heaven's Gate tragedy were independent events and that Farsight was "heavily attacked," "set up," "tricked," and "duped" through actions of government agencies seeking to suppress remote viewing research from reaching mainstream academic audiences.

Key claims

ET contact and cosmology

Main article:

Prison planet theory

The Farsight Institute is in active contact with a group of non-human intelligent beings aligned with a "free will" ET faction — as distinct from "authoritarian" ETs he describes as currently operating covertly on Earth. "Board meetings" are held with these contacts via telepathy and describes Farsight as the designated communication channel for a pro-disclosure ET operation.

The framework divides galactic civilisations into a "free will" faction and an "authoritarian" coalition comprising primarily a reptilian faction and a humanoid group he calls the "Orions." Earth is a prison planet maintained through a post-death memory-erasure mechanism and governed by written agreements between the authoritarian ETs and Earth governments. Haim Eshed is cited as an on-record source confirming such agreements.

November 2024 drone events

The wave of drone sightings over New Jersey and US and UK military bases beginning in mid-November 2024 was initiated by the "good" ET faction as the first phase of a deliberate disclosure operation. the wave of drone sightings over New Jersey and US and UK military bases beginning in mid-November 2024 was initiated by the "good" ET faction as the first phase of a deliberate disclosure operation. At an ET board meeting on November 13, 2024, the ETs informed Farsight they would begin appearing publicly in large numbers without stealth. Farsight published the meeting on November 15; the drone events began attracting widespread attention on November 18. This was an attempt to trigger "catastrophic disclosure" — rapid, mass revelation.

Contacts with Harvey

Ongoing personal contacts take place with an ET called "Harvey" (a pseudonym) at the beach approximately once a month, at night. These sessions are recorded and published under the title Conversations with Harvey.

Publications

Brown is the author of Cosmic Voyage (1996) and The Science and Theory of Non Physical Perception, described as the only work developing the science of remote viewing in terms of highly structured data-collection methodologies comparable to those used by the U.S. military.
