Psychotronic weapons

Psychotronic weapons are devices that use electromagnetic, acoustic, or other physical fields to directly affect the human nervous system, psychology, or consciousness — producing behavioral changes, perceptual distortions, incapacitation, or compliance without the subject's awareness. The term originates in Soviet and Eastern bloc military research and is used in the exopolitics and UAP disclosure communities to describe a category of non-lethal weapons whose physical mechanisms overlap with those associated with Havana syndrome, V2K (voice-to-skull) technology, and classified mind-influence programs.

Soviet psychotronics programs

Lue Elizondo, former director of the Pentagon's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), cited the Russian psychotronic weapons development program as a documented precedent for current U.S. concerns about non-lethal influence weapons. When shown a 1993 article from Literaturnaya Gazeta claiming the Soviet program was a deliberate hoax designed to drain KGB and military funding, Elizondo responded that the evidence is contradictory: other reports indicate the Russian program achieved genuine operational results, and the U.S. developed its own parallel program on the grounds that "because the Russians were doing it, we did it too."

Mechanisms

Psychotronic weapons research has explored several distinct mechanisms:

Connection to UAP phenomena

Greer has alleged that the same psychotronic technologies developed in the classified program are used against UAP witnesses, military personnel who have encountered non-human craft, and civilians investigating these programs — producing memory suppression, compliance, and post-encounter psychological symptoms through directed energy: "Reverse engineered extraterrestrial electronics and systems that are hundreds of thousands of years more advanced than what the normal person knows about, and those have been turned into weapon systems."

Michael Salla cited Greer's discussion that entire branches of mathematics relating to these weapons have been classified, preventing public scientific understanding of the mechanisms and ensuring no independent replication or countermeasure development is possible.

Havana syndrome as psychotronic weapon use

The Havana syndrome cases — neurological injuries sustained by U.S. diplomatic personnel in Cuba, China, Vienna, and elsewhere — represent the most documented contemporary evidence for operational psychotronic weapon deployment. The 2020 National Academies of Sciences report concluded that pulsed radio-frequency (microwave) energy was the "most plausible" explanation for the injuries. John Kiriakou, a former CIA case officer, stated that intelligence personnel with access to DARPA science programs work on such technologies: "Those are the guys that have access to DARPA scientists. They're working on things like microwave weapons. They're working on things like Havana Syndrome."

Telosian psychotronic crystal technology

Elena Danaan, in her extraterrestrial contact record A Gift from the Stars (2020), identifies the Telosi (Telosii) — a subterranean human civilization of Alpha Centauri origin resident beneath Earth's surface — as actively using "psychotronic technologies involving crystals, and universal life-force energy." The Telosian variant differs from Soviet and U.S. military psychotronic programs in its purportedly positive application — the Telosii use the technology as part of their program to assist human consciousness elevation and to counter Reptilian and Grey mind-control systems. The co-existence of benevolent and weaponized applications of the same psychotronic principle — crystal-mediated field influence on biological consciousness — parallels the dual-use character of ELF and microwave psychotronic research, where the same mechanism that can induce healing states can also be tuned for disorientation, compliance, or neurological damage.
