Stewart Swerdlow

Stewart Swerdlow (born c. 1957, Long Island, New York) is an American author, lecturer, and self-described deprogrammer and medical intuitive who says he spent thirteen years, from 1970 until 1983, as a child and adolescent test subject in the Montauk Project — an alleged classified program of mind control, time travel, and interdimensional experimentation said to have been carried out at Camp Hero in Montauk, at the eastern tip of Long Island. With his wife Janet Swerdlow he founded the publishing and teaching organization Expansions, through which he has written and lectured on hyperspace, the reptilian bloodlines of the Illuminati, and a system of archetypes, colours, and tones he says he recovered from his Montauk training.

Swerdlow presents his work as that of a survivor speaking from inside one of the most secret programs of the Cold War, one whose non-human intelligent beings, time portals, and bloodline politics bear directly on the hidden government of Earth. The account rests almost entirely on memories he says he retained from the project — a capacity he attributes to a genetic make-up that left him both exceptionally responsive to mind control programming and impossible to fully erase — recovered after electromagnetic experimentation severed his optic-nerve connection and left him perceiving the world only through "mental vision." Because no records of so large a program have surfaced and the credibility problem most often raised against him is a fraud conviction from the 1990s, assessments of Swerdlow divide along a familiar line: read as authentic, the missing paperwork is the expected residue of a covered-up black program and the conviction the wreckage of a man returned to ordinary life with no practical skills and a disordered memory; read the other way, a Montauk story unsupported by any record and told by a man with a fraud history is an unfalsifiable account that cannot be independently checked.

Background and family

Swerdlow was born on Long Island into a family he describes as deeply entangled in Soviet and American government intelligence, and claims Hyperborean ancestry. His great-uncle Yakov Sverdlov was the first chairman of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee — the Soviet Union's first head of state — and his grandfather, he says, helped found the Communist Party in the United States in the 1930s; a relative named Andrey is said to have helped begin what became the KGB, and his grandmother Maya to have served as a Soviet spy during World War II. Because of these ties, by his account, the family was closely monitored by the U.S. government and his father took part in classified American experiments — a lineage Swerdlow says marked him for selection. He further states that government personnel later told him he had been produced through genetic manipulation and implanted into his mother's womb before birth.

From early childhood, Swerdlow says, he was taken weekly for brutal medical examinations, injections, and dental procedures that continued into his early teens — work he later attributed to Josef Mengele, whom he claims survived the war and continued his concentration camp experiments while moving between North and South America. He dates his first encounter with a non-human intelligent being to about the age of three, when he says he woke aboard a small two-level craft in the company of a short, plant-like humanoid being and was flown for hours over cities, continents, and oceans before being returned to his bed.

Montauk Project experience

Swerdlow says his recruitment into the Montauk Project began in 1970, when he was about thirteen, and continued until the project's abrupt termination on 12 August 1983. He describes the program — which he frames as a continuation of the wartime Philadelphia Experiment and post-war work in mind control, electromagnetics, and time travel of the kind set out in the published Montauk accounts of Preston Nichols and Peter Moon — as having processed roughly 300,000 subjects, of whom fewer than one percent survived; he says he was chosen because his particular genetic mix was unusually responsive to programming yet impossible to fully suppress, so that his memories could not be permanently erased.

During the experiments, Swerdlow says, electromagnetic and microwave exposure severed the connection to his optic nerve, leaving him able to perceive only through mental imagery and rendering him legally blind and deaf — a condition he says he lived with until corrective surgery in December 1999. This enforced inner sight, he holds, developed the clairvoyant and medical-intuitive faculties — reading auric fields, archetypes, DNA sequences, and mind patterns — on which his later career rests.

The beings he says he most often encountered at Montauk were Sirians, together with Reptilians and Pleiadians. Among his most extraordinary claims is that he was sent through the facility's time portal to the era of Christ, first under orders to shoot him — which he says he refused — and on a later passage to extract blood from the crucifixion for a government cloning program.

Swerdlow also describes a distinct alien-derived time-viewing technology operated at Montauk that differed mechanically from the Looking Glass device: one group of extraterrestrials, he says, provided a crystal-based viewing system that, when a crystal was placed on the device, displayed events from any point in the planet's history — "Roman times and prehistoric times, anything" — his account being that "everything on this planet has been recorded." Asked whether the technology was related to the Chronovisor, he stated he believed the Chronovisor and Project Pegasus were "an outgrowth of the Montauk Project."

Later life and disclosure

Swerdlow says he emerged from the project in 1983 with no practical life skills, a disrupted memory, and the legal blindness and deafness he attributes to the experimentation, and that the years that followed brought severe illness, broken relationships, and a premature Kundalini activation before a period of deep self-analysis he credits with saving his life. During this period he was convicted of felony fraud in the 1990s, a conviction he has addressed in interviews while framing it against the dysfunction of those post-Montauk years. The conviction is the lever most often used to dismiss his testimony: on one reading it is simply the record of a fraudster whose larger claims are of a piece with his crime, while on the reading more favourable to him it is the predictable collapse of a man discharged from a covert program into civilian life unequipped to function — a circularity in which he is disbelieved because he was convicted, and the conviction is then offered as proof that the Montauk account was invented.

He wrote his first book, Montauk: The Alien Connection, as what he initially intended to be a private diary for his children, believing he would not live long; his wife Janet, a publisher, brought it out, and the interest it drew led him to continue with his other material. His experiences were later depicted in the documentary film Montauk Chronicles, and he and Janet built Expansions into a publishing and educational concern distributing books, videos, and personal consultations.

Research and teachings

Through Expansions, Swerdlow's seminars and books set out a hidden history of Earth and humanity. He holds that the planet was first colonized by androgynous reptilian beings from the Draco star system who settled Lemuria, followed by mammalian colonists from what he calls the "Illyrian systems" who settled Atlantis, with present-day humanity engineered as a hybrid combining the two lineages. On his account every human being carries reptilian genetics — between 10 and 15 percent in most people, more than 40 percent in the bloodlines of the Illuminati, and a full fifty-fifty split in the shape-shifting hybrids he says must consume human blood to hold humanoid form. He distinguishes these Draconians — whom he casts as the founders of the Illuminati and the reptilian elite standing behind it — from the Anunnaki (the Anak), whose home world "Nebu" he says the Illuminati destroyed in April 2003 with a particle beam.

Swerdlow traces a continuous history of mind control from prehistoric reptilian origins through the Hashashin, the work of Josef Mengele in Nazi Germany, and into MK-Ultra, estimating that one to two percent of the global population is specifically mind-control programmed. Central to his system is what he calls the language of hyperspace — a structure of archetypes, colours, and tones that he describes as the foundational medium of communication for all consciousness in the universe, studied at Montauk and set out in his manual Hyperspace Helper. He regards CERN's Large Hadron Collider as the institutional heir to Montauk's interdimensional work, designed, he says, to collapse favourable alternate realities into the current timeline.

His principal books, several co-authored with Janet Swerdlow, include Montauk: The Alien Connection, his autobiographical account of the project; Blue Blood, True Blood, on the reptilian and Illuminati bloodlines, Earth's colonization, and the Anunnaki; Hyperspace Helper, a practical manual of archetype symbols and colour therapies recalled from his training; and True World History, expanding his account of alien migrations and Illuminati operations across the planet's past.
