Oroz
The Oroz are a peaceful Gray culture from Alkor 1, the first planet of the Alkorin system (Altair) in the Aquila constellation, primarily interested in trading. They are not involved in any of the treaties governing the various collectives of the Altairan system, though they benefit from trade with those collectives. To maintain their independence, the Oroz sought and received the protection of the Galactic Federation of Worlds, which they have recently joined as members.
Alkorin system
Altair, locally known as Alkorin, lies 16 light-years from Terra and hosts a complex mix of species with mixed intentions — Alpha Draconian Empire-affiliated reptilians, humanoid races including tall blondes and orange-skinned peoples, and Grays. The system is headquarters to a reptilian collective known as the Corporate, which has ambiguous ties to the Ashtar Collective of Sirius B and the Alpha Draconian Empire, and which cooperates with the Humanoid Alliance of Altair, the Orion Grey Collective, and a Terran military presence. None of the Altairan cultures are permitted access to the Envoy programs due to the risk of infiltration.
The Oroz occupy an independent position in this politically layered system, having chosen GFW membership specifically as a protective measure rather than integrating into any of the existing Altairan power structures.
