The Lacerta Files are a pair of documents purporting to be transcripts of two interviews with a reptilian female entity named Lacerta, conducted in December 1999 and April 2000 by a Swedish researcher identified only as "E.F.", with a second name "Ole K." associated with their distribution. Lacerta identified herself as a female reptilian native to Earth — not an extraterrestrial — belonging to a species that evolved from saurian ancestors and has inhabited the planet for tens of millions of years, living primarily underground and in remote areas. The files describe a 65-million-year-old alien-caused catastrophe that drove their ancestors underground, the genetic engineering of humanity by a species called the "Illojim" from Aldebaran, and 14 currently active alien species on Earth.
The files have circulated in ufology since the early 2000s. In 2024, the Farsight Institute published a single-blind remote viewing project claiming to corroborate portions of the account. The files have been discussed in the context of Inner Earth civilizations and cryptoterrestrials by Michael Salla.
History and origin
The first interview took place on 16 December 1999 at a remote house in southern Sweden. Ole K. describes himself as a lifelong skeptic who had been told of E.F.'s contacts with Lacerta for months before agreeing to meet her; he states that the three-hour interview caused him to abandon his skepticism entirely after witnessing demonstrations of telepathy and telekinesis. The published transcript represents a shortened version of the full interview; Ole states that he retained additional material at Lacerta's request pending her permission to release it. The full interview was also recorded on tape, which Ole retained. A second meeting took place on 23 April 2000, producing the second file.
The Farsight Institute's remote-viewing project targeting "Lacerta, when she was telling the information eventually recorded as The Lacerta Files (16 December 1999)" was conducted entirely blind — viewers received no information about the target before sessions. Director Courtney Brown stated that Farsight undertook the project because multiple prior remote-viewing results independently matched content in the Lacerta Files, making formal corroboration scientifically warranted.
Content of the interviews
Reptilian origins and the 65-million-year cataclysm
Lacerta described her species as evolving naturally from local saurian ancestors on Earth — unconnected to any extraterrestrial reptilian species — and possessing a civilization approximately 10 million years old at the time of the interview. She attributed the mass extinction of dinosaurs approximately 65 million years ago not to an asteroid impact but to a war in Earth's orbit and upper atmosphere between two advanced alien species: a humanoid species from the star system humans call Procyon, and a reptilian species from another dimensional "bubble" of the multiverse. The conflict, fought primarily for access to Earth's copper resources (which Lacerta said advanced species use in conjunction with unstable elements to produce stable new elements via electromagnetic induction), involved deployment of a "special kind of fusion bomb" that triggered the extinction event. Surviving proto-reptilian ancestors of Lacerta's species went underground and evolved over the subsequent 40 million years, with their civilization reaching its current form approximately 10 million years ago.
The Illojim and human genetic engineering
Approximately 1.5 million years ago, a separate humanoid species — called the "Illojim" (which the editor of the Brother Veritus' Website noted may correspond to the Elohim of biblical tradition) — arrived on Earth and chose to genetically accelerate the development of existing ape-humanoids to create a slave race for future wars. This decision triggered a war between Lacerta's species and the Illojim over control of the planet. Lacerta described the sixth and seventh "creations" of humanity — successive genetic modifications — as the specific flashpoints of that conflict, events encoded in distorted form in texts humans know as the Bible.
Underground civilization and technology
Lacerta's species maintains an underground civilization with colonies formerly established on the Moon, Mars, Venus, and four moons of Jupiter and Saturn — represented by a seven-star symbol on a blue background within a dragon circle, their primary species emblem. Their fleet consists primarily of cylindrical craft; disc-shaped UFOs she attributed primarily to other alien species, with triangular craft attributed to human military programs using reverse-engineered alien technology. Best areas for observation of her species' craft include the Arctic, Antarctic, and Inner Asia.
Paranormal abilities and mimicry
Lacerta described her species as possessing paranormal abilities operating through a layer of consciousness between the morphogenetic information field and material reality, enabling both telekinesis and telepathy. More significantly, she stated that the Illojim installed a "switch" in human consciousness during the genetic creation process that can be activated by her species to cause humans to perceive a reptilian as a normal human — a form of enforced mimicry requiring practice to deploy effectively. The switch was described as passive from the human side, with no ability to block alien access to it.
Biology and physiology
Lacerta described her species as oviparous in a modified sense: the embryo develops inside an egg-shaped chalk hull within the mother's womb, nourished through a cord attached behind the back plates. At birth the egg — approximately 40 centimetres tall — is pressed through the birth canal; hatchlings emerge after a few minutes, breaking the chalk hull using instinctive movements of specialized horns on the middle fingers. Newborns measure 30–35 centimetres at birth, growing to a normal adult height of 1.60–1.80 metres. As ectotherms, Lacerta's species has a resting body temperature of 30–33 °C; exposure to sunlight raises core temperature by 8–9 degrees within minutes, triggering a cascade of enzyme and hormone production that she described as their greatest physiological pleasure, irreplaceable by artificial lighting. Their diet requires animal protein to sustain digestive function; a fully vegetarian diet would cause organ failure within weeks to months.
The Second File: technology and physics
The second interview, conducted on 27 April 2000 after a delay caused by Ole K.'s surveillance concerns following publication of the first transcript, covered alien technology, plasma physics, and social commentary. Lacerta explained that advanced propulsion systems exploit a fourth aggregate state of matter — plasma — defined not as hot gas but as a condition of matter intermediate between solid existence and pure energy. At this state, mass can be displaced into "sphere of influence" levels, generating antigravity effects used by both her species and extraterrestrials for craft propulsion. Human reverse-engineering of this technology, she stated, produces unstable and dangerously radioactive vehicles due to incomplete theoretical understanding of the underlying unified field physics.
Lacerta also addressed human hostility, attributing the deep-seated fear and religious demonisation of her species to genetic conditioning installed by the Illojim during the third artificial creation of humanity — an information genome that propagates biologically from generation to generation. She noted that certain pre-modern indigenous peoples had successfully broken through this conditioning and maintained peaceful relationships with her species, while modern civilisation proved more constrained by inherited programming than ancient tribal cultures.
Reception and contextualisation
In both interviews Lacerta stated that exactly 14 alien species are currently present on Earth, of which eight are actively conducting abductions of humans at any given time. The Farsight Institute's 2024 remote-viewing project — conducted under fully blind conditions with viewers receiving no prior information about the target — was initiated because multiple independent prior remote-viewing results had independently matched content in the Lacerta Files without viewers knowing what they were targeting. Researcher Isaac Weishaupt, discussing the broader tradition of astral contact with non-human intelligence, placed the Lacerta interviews within the trajectory of a shift from physical encounters with alien beings in antiquity to dimensional and astral contact in the modern era, situating the files in the same lineage as Aleister Crowley's 1918 contact with Lam during the Amalantrah Working.
Salla's commentary and the Farsight corroboration
Michael Salla first wrote about the Lacerta Files in 2004 in a study paper examining Ole K.'s testimony. He has described Lacerta's historical narrative as providing a unique perspective on Earth's colonization sequence: the Illojim-class humanoid extraterrestrials who engineered humanity "came here and terraform the planet, wiped out the dinosaurs and created a surface that would be suitable for a long term human presence or long term human experiment" — driving the pre-existing intelligent reptilians underground, where Lacerta's civilization has remained.
Salla has noted that the Farsight Institute's 2024 remote-viewing project used four independent viewers who all corroborated Lacerta's testimony — "they confirmed that it really did happen" — and that the results documented the interaction between a female reptilian and a Swedish human witness, as well as the described relationship between the inner-Earth reptilians and surface humanity. Salla has also noted the importance of distinguishing between Lacerta's Earth-indigenous species and the off-world Draco Reptilians: "It's very important to distinguish between these Earth-based indigenous Reptilians with the Draco Reptilians who are an off-world species that come to the earth and they have a kind of imperialist agenda." He further connects Lacerta's species to the Nagas of Vedic tradition and the "serpent people" described in the Hebrew Bible — ancient textual references that, in his framework, reflect documented knowledge of the underground civilisation that Lacerta describes.
Salla has noted that the cigar-shaped craft described by Lacerta's species — and observed in high-frame-rate photography by the Farsight Institute's Courtney Brown — are consistent with the hull configuration of Lacerta's fleet described in the files themselves, and should not be confused with the delta-shaped craft attributed to the Draco Reptilians.
Jorjani's hypothesis: reptilians as Anunnaki hybrid creation
Dr. Jason Reza Jorjani has advanced a speculative hypothesis connecting the reptilian phenomenon directly to the Anunnaki genetic engineering programme described in Sumerian texts. In his account, the Illojim/Anunnaki arrived at Earth when dinosaurs were the dominant species; if they were responsible for the mass extinction event 65 million years ago, they would then have faced the question of what slave-race to engineer. His hypothesis: "Why not take dinosaurs and hybridize them genetically with themselves instead of having to lord over beings who are very much like you? You do it with a group of beings that are very physically capable but that are not like you. It allows you to morally justify yourself, you know, better than to lord over your own kind." In this scenario, the cryptoterrestrial reptilians documented in the Lacerta Files may represent one lineage of this early hybridization programme — which would place them not as an independently evolved species, as Lacerta claims, but as another product of the same Anunnaki laboratory that produced modern humanity.
