Nazi UFO program
The Nazi UFO program refers to a set of Nazi Germany advanced propulsion and aerospace projects that, according to researchers including Jason Reza Jorjani, culminated in operational flying saucer-shaped craft and a post-war continuation of the program through SS networks, Argentine exile, and Operation Paperclip scientists embedded in the United States deep state. The core claims are set out in Jorjani's 2021 book Closer Encounters and in a November 2025 interview on the American Alchemy with Jesse Michels podcast.
Soviet and Eastern European observations
Researcher Anton Anfalov, whose work on Soviet-era intelligence draws on interviews with hundreds of Russian and Ukrainian insiders, describes a German disc program of significant scale. By 1943, he argues, Germany had manufactured large disc-shaped craft — approximately 100 feet in diameter — and in 1944 a Polish worker at Alt Golm, south of Berlin, observed one of these large discs behind a tarp wall erected by the SS, apparently after an emergency landing; the witness later reported the sighting to the FBI. In June 1945, Soviet forces operating in northwestern Poland recovered the wreckage of a crashed German flying saucer near the village of Usk — a craft apparently on a mission to retrieve stores of mercury-based amalgam fuel from a still-intact secret cache; the wreckage exploded during study, killing several Soviet and Polish researchers, but components were recovered and transferred to the Soviet Union.
Saucer airframe and boundary-layer research
German aeronautical engineers in the 1930s pursued the problem of aerodynamic boundary layer drag by designing saucer-shaped airframes with suction vents around their perimeter; the vents were intended to draw in the resisting air pocket and redirect it into the propulsion system. These early prototypes were rocket-powered — a fan of rotating jets arranged beneath the disc — rather than exotic-propulsion craft. The program was centered at the Skoda Works facility in what was then Czechoslovakia, under the oversight of SS General Hans Kammler, and according to Jorjani drew on intelligence from the 1933 Magenta, Italy crash — a UFO crash retrieval which David Grusch later confirmed — to attempt reverse-engineering of recovered non-human propulsion technology.
A perforated metal developed in this program — in German called Luft-Schaum or Flugzeug-Schaum — was so finely porous that a hand pressed against its reverse side could feel breath blown through it; Jorjani notes that Philip Corso subsequently claimed this material was among the debris recovered at Roswell in 1947, with Joseph Farrell's study Saucer Swastikas documenting the correspondence between Roswell-recovered materials and 1940s German military innovations including Kevlar, Velcro, night vision, fiber optics, and lasers.
Die Glocke
The second and more exotic project was Die Glocke (The Bell), also called The Beehive for the buzzing sound it produced when activated. Based on research by Igor Witkowski, Nick Cook (The Hunt for Zero Point), and Joseph Farrell, Jorjani describes the Bell as a device originally intended as a new power plant, involving the electromagnetic rotation of a thorium-232 and mercury isotope mixture under alternating and high-voltage direct current. The torsion field generated proved to be an anti-gravity effect: when the device was activated the structure levitated, requiring the rig to be physically chained down. Plants placed around the operating Bell disintegrated at a cellular level; the first scientific team exposed to the device died quickly and had to be replaced, while surviving operators reported extreme temporal disorientation — time appearing to flow at a different rate inside the laboratory than outside it.
By 1944, according to Jorjani (sourced partly from a Serbian contact with direct knowledge), the Bell was integrated with the saucer airframe to create a complete disc-shaped craft with exotic propulsion.
Post-war continuation and the Roswell hypothesis
Jorjani argues that the SS was not party to the German instruments of surrender in 1945 — the Army, Air Force, Navy, and government all surrendered; the SS did not — and that key SS officers continued operational activities from Argentina, principally under Martin Bormann (whose evacuation to Argentina Jorjani attributes to MI6 operative Ian Fleming) and Otto Skorzeny. Spanish newspaper reports from 1946 described Skorzeny with General Franco on the Mediterranean coast, launching saucer-shaped rockets toward America; Jorjani connects these launches to Roswell and other crashes a year later. Specifically, Jorjani contends that Roswell debris — consistent with German 1940s technology as shown by Corso's inventory — was a Nazi craft, staged as a psychological warfare event by Skorzeny.
In Argentina, former SS scientists including Ronald Richter operated a fusion research facility at Bariloche from the late 1940s, making promises to Juan Perón of delivering fusion nuclear weapons; Jorjani suggests this work was connected to the Bell's plasma-fusion effect and that the Nazis may have developed a clean fusion weapon — without a fission trigger — as early as 1944–45, explaining why they traded their fission-weapon-grade enriched uranium to the United States in exchange for amnesty and program continuity rather than deploying nuclear weapons militarily.
Simultaneously, the entire Gehlen Organization — the SS spy network in Eastern Europe — was absorbed into the newly created CIA in 1947, leading Jorjani to characterize the CIA and associated deep-state apparatus as "co-constituted" by SS remnants and their agenda for a long-term fascist world order rather than a nationalist German one.
Haunebu series and the Kohler Converter
Len Kasten provides a detailed chronological account of the Nazi disc program's progression from early Vril Society prototypes to SS-directed operational craft. He states that the Vril Society developed the first alleged antigravity craft, the RFZ-1, "as early as 1934," with the society raising funds "by soliciting donations in German newspapers." The RFZ-1 "crashed and burned," but the RFZ-2 — sixty feet in length — "flew quite well and was used as a reconnaissance craft," drawing the attention of Heinrich Himmler.
By 1939, the SS had developed the RFZ-5, renamed the Haunebu-I — a two-man craft approximately thirty-five feet in diameter, powered by "a tachyon-type electrogravitation motor called the Kohler Converter" that "converted Earth's gravitational energy into electromagnetic power." The series culminated in the Haunebu-III — "a huge craft, two hundred feet in diameter, that could reach a speed of twenty-four thousand miles per hour at an altitude of fifteen thousand feet and could carry thirty-two passengers." Despite these capabilities, the Germans "were never able to adapt these incredible flying machines to conventional warfare" — they could not train pilots adequately, the craft were not maneuverable enough for dogfights, and could not be used as bombers, leading the Nazis to focus instead on Wernher von Braun's rocketry and jet-powered propulsion.
Occult and NHI dimensions
Jorjani also addresses the Thule Society and the concept of Vril, noting that the Thule Gesellschaft was founded by Baron Rudolf von Sebottendorff after initiation into an ancient Iranian-Kurdish order in Kurdistan, and that Thule was the Germanic conception of Atlantis — an antediluvian super-civilization believed by Theosophists including Helena Blavatsky to be the origin of the Aryan race. On the question of a direct Nordic NHI connection to the Nazi program, Jorjani considers it plausible and "not mutually exclusive" with the mundane engineering-and-espionage account, suggesting that certain advances — including the Bell — may have been facilitated by entities seeking to "affirm and complete this project."
In The Secret History of Extraterrestrials, Kasten frames World War II itself as "the planetary battlefield of Galactic War III, when alien civilizations sponsoring the Nazis and alien civilizations sponsoring the Americans fought once again for control of planet Earth." He identifies a 1933 formal treaty between the Nazi-Bavarian Intelligence Agency (later the SS) and the Greys — facilitated by the Thule Society — as the mechanism through which the Germans acquired "jet propulsion, rocketry, television-guided missiles, antigravity aircraft, nuclear technology, and possibly even a cloned army."
Len Kasten also situates the Nazi UFO program within a broader Reptilian-facilitated agenda: the occultist Dietrich Eckart, a founding member of the Thule Society, introduced Hitler to black magic séances in the early 1920s through which Eckart's astral contacts — identified by Kasten as Reptilians operating from the fourth dimension — identified Hitler as the incarnation of the Antichrist and the instrument of the new Germany, channeling through him a series of technologies including the disc-craft designs.
Postwar persistence of the program
Ukrainian researcher Anton Anfalov, drawing on interviews with Russian and Ukrainian insiders, has reported on continued Nazi flying saucer activity through Eastern witness accounts: "Amazingly, I learned that these rumors are based on solid facts and there are many reliable observations and reliable witnesses in many countries testify the truth and in favor of that Nazi UFOs were real and are real because the Fourth Reich exists." Anfalov notes witness accounts of not only disc-shaped craft but also elongated cigar-shaped objects and the "ghost rockets" observed over Sweden and Scandinavia in 1946 — attributing them to Nazi postwar programs. The Wallenberg family's SEB Bank is cited by Anfalov as having facilitated Nazi asset transfers to neutral countries, with the Swedish SAAB corporation involved in German advanced aviation programs through this network.
The Bell as origin of the levitation reports
Joseph Farrell, in a Forum Borealis interview, argues that the Nazi Bell project represents "the real kernel of truth possibly to all of those rumors about Nazi UFOs" — not because the Bell was itself a flying saucer, but because it demonstrated levitation as an observed phenomenon, constituting a "gateway technology" toward disc-shaped craft: inmates at the Gross Rosen concentration camp near the Bell's test site at Ludwika (in what is now Poland) reported seeing at night "a barrel-like device, glowing a pale blue glow, levitating above the tree line and then levitating back down." Farrell stresses that "this device did not dart around in the skies like a UFO — all it did was levitate" — distinguishing the observed phenomenon from the elaborated flying saucer mythology while arguing the core levitation data was real.
Farrell describes the Bell's physical specifications drawn from Igor Witkowski's research: a bell-shaped ceramic or metal device approximately 12–15 feet wide at the base and 15–18 feet tall, cryogenically cooled with liquid nitrogen or liquid oxygen, containing two counter-rotating cylinders filled with a heavy dark red metallic liquid — "Serum 525" — spun at extreme velocity and then pulsed with very high voltage electricity. The lead scientist was Walther Gerlach, a Nobel-adjacent physicist whose primary area of interest was gravity — making him, Farrell argues, an unexpected choice for the official atom bomb program, but the "perfect sort of guy" to run a gravity-propulsion project.
