Green Mountain base is an alleged deep underground military base and secret space program spaceport beneath Green Mountain, on the south side of Huntsville, Alabama, near Redstone Arsenal and NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center. In 1957 the Army planned an underground missile factory and a "sort of subterranean 'junior Pentagon'" inside the mountain, according to the researcher Richard Sauder, who found the plan in trade-press reports and wrote that he did not know whether it was built. Michael Salla's Exopolitics Briefing Document (2026) counts "the little-known Green Mountain DUMB" among the earliest deep underground military bases, "built in 1956-57 as a 'Junior Pentagon,'" which he says "today hosts a large spaceport". The army paratrooper Jorge Pabon says he was taken twice to an underground spaceport in northern Alabama holding hundreds of saucer-shaped craft and Nordic aliens who were training international pilots; it is Salla who places that spaceport under Green Mountain.
Ross Coulthart says there is no evidence that such a base was built, and Salla's own telling of the newspaper stories ends with "nothing else happened". On Coulthart's reading the 1957 scheme lapsed, which would make Pabon's base one elsewhere in the Deep South that Salla assigned to the one Alabama mountain with a known underground plan; if it was built and has run in secret for nearly seven decades, as Salla's briefing and Pabon's descriptions require, Coulthart is mistaken. Salla names three possibilities for the later Eskridge account: that it is genuine, which he rates most likely, that it is a psychological operation using Pabon's material as bait, or that its source invented it.
Location and the 1957 plan
Green Mountain rises on Huntsville's south side; part of it is the Green Mountain Nature Preserve, owned by the Land Trust of North Alabama, which added 248 acres to an original 122-acre donation in 2021. Redstone Arsenal and the Army Ballistic Missile Agency are the setting of the 1957 plan: the Army, the American Machine and Foundry Company, Redstone Arsenal and the agency were to build an underground rocket factory in the mountain, with a headquarters "to direct the defense of the southern U.S. from enemy attack". Sauder traces the story to two 1957 items in the trade journal Missiles and Rockets, from May and September.
The scheme had a commercial side. Members of the Huntsville Industrial Expansion Committee bought 200 acres on the Tennessee River for docks from which a company called Chemstone would ship the limestone excavated from the mountain, and over nearly two years bought parcels on the mountain in their own names or through proxies. Sauder offers the case as an illustration of how a site is chosen and bought without notice, and says that he does not know whether the base was built. In 2004 he linked the plan to Wernher von Braun, who had built V-2 rockets for Hitler in an underground factory and was working at Redstone.
Salla describes the stories as reporting "a big contract" for a "mini pentagon" after which "nothing else happened". He reasons that the Marshall Space Flight Center under von Braun and Operation Paperclip scientists routed Apollo program money to the Dark Fleet, which built "the huge infrastructure under Green Mountain for a spaceport that the Fourth Reich was using", and that Nordic aliens later helped reverse-engineer craft there. The briefing dates the base to 1956–57, a year before the first trade-press item Sauder lists, and places it among the earliest deep underground military bases alongside Area 51 and S-4, ahead of the "most infamous" Montauk and Dulce.
Alleged spaceport
As Salla relays it, Pabon describes a bus carrying 33 international pilots, with Pabon and one other man as observers, into a huge spaceport where hundreds of flying-saucer craft stood beside crews and Nordic-looking extraterrestrials, and the pilots ran to the craft to greet them. Salla dates the descriptions to Pabon's updates of 4 May 2023 and 29 April 2024 and says he first pointed publicly to Green Mountain in a presentation on 28 September 2024.
Three further accounts reach the same mountain. Salla writes that the scalar-physics researcher Thomas Bearden told David Clements in 2005 of a secret underground base in Alabama where the United States built superluminal craft in the 1960s, and that Clements is 90 percent certain it lies under Green Mountain. The remote viewer Tony Rodrigues reports, from a 2025 remote viewing session rather than a visit, a dark-haired woman with brown eyes leading the facility. An unnamed author who visited the preserve in December 2024 reports finding nothing that corroborated Pabon. Salla disputes Coulthart's point about the lack of evidence, citing an eyewitness who received a thumb drive of antigravity research.
Reported present-day operations
On 29 May 2026 Salla received a text message from an anonymous source he had known for years, who said he had twice met a woman claiming to be Amy Eskridge, the antigravity researcher whose 2022 death was attributed to a self-inflicted gunshot. According to the message she said she had faked her death, had taken over the Green Mountain base after Ning Li died in 2021, and ran it with "White Hats" who seized it from Deep State control; the base held hundreds of antigravity craft, a pilot-training program with personnel from about thirty nations and brain-interface piloting, and the source described "eight forces of nature" and a stargate found during tunnel boring at Yucca Mountain, Nevada, and moved to Green Mountain. Nobody identifiable stands behind the message. A July 2026 interview on Exopolitics.org with a host named Michael, of Conflict Radio, relays an encounter with a woman who identified herself as Eskridge and a remote-viewing session on the base. A September 2026 write-up of an interview with George Kavassilas, tagged to Green Mountain, relays his account of "Operation Radiant Shield", in which he and four colleagues allegedly activated an ancient crystalline structure to defend a facility from an incursion.
