Okkar
The Okkar are reportedly a reptilian mammal species inhabiting the planet Tuberiat Ox in the Ox system, orbiting the yellow giant star HD 14067 in the Aries constellation. They are among the very rare vegetarian reptilian races in the galaxy, a trait attributed to an insectoid genetic input somewhere in their evolutionary history. Okkar females possess an extra set of eyes on their foreheads, another remnant of this insectoid heritage.
Communication
The Okkar are both vocal and telepathic. Their oral language consists of coded crackling and rattling sounds that other species find disconcerting.
Territory and trade
The Okkar are very territorial, and gaining permission to visit or approach their planet is difficult. They are members of both the Galactic Federation of Worlds and the Galactic Guild of Merchants, known for trading a special mineral spice that grows on their planet and is prized as a food luxury by human races throughout the galaxy.
