MH370 drone lateral footage
This article is about the lateral thermal drone video (Video 2). For the overhead satellite composite video (Video 1), see

The leaked lateral thermal drone video, real-time portion only (0:00–1:02); the remainder of the circulating upload is a slow-motion replay of the same footage.
The MH370 drone lateral footage (also UAV Captures Airlines and UFOs, Regicide Anon, June 2014) is the second of the two leaked military surveillance videos purportedly showing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 near the Nicobar Islands in its final tracked moments on 8 March 2014, taken from a vantage point behind and to the left of the aircraft by what researcher Ashton Forbes identifies as a General Atomics MQ-series UCAV — most likely an MQ-9 Reaper, though MQ-1C Gray Eagle and MQ-20 Avenger are possible — equipped with a thermal targeting pod comparable to a Wescam MX-20 and a LITENING G4 pod by Northrop Grumman.
Publication
The video was uploaded to the "Regicide Anon" YouTube channel on 12 June 2014 with a stated receipt date of 5 June 2014; its description states the footage "shows Airlines being followed by three unidentified spherical objects for a short time. Then Airlines and orbs vanish. This appears to be alt angle to previously submitted Sat footage."
Forensic features
The footage runs at roughly six frames per second, consistent with a screen-recording workflow in which an operator opens a zoomed display window from a larger composite mosaic; cursor movement and input delay visible in the footage are consistent with live operator interaction. The thermal channel reportedly shows the Boeing 777's atmospheric control manifold heat signature through the fuselage wall — a detail Forbes cites as impossible to fabricate without access to classified Boeing 777 engineering schematics.
