Harvest

The harvest, according to the Ra material, is a periodic cosmic event at the end of a major cycle in which individual souls and entire civilizations are assessed for their spiritual polarity and graduated to the density of existence appropriate to that polarity, or returned to repeat the cycle. The concept is central to the Law of One teachings and referenced extensively in secret space program and contactee discourse, and appears in multiple independent traditions under different names. The current Earth cycle is described as approaching its harvest point — a convergence point that different sources place in the late twentieth to early twenty-first century.

Mechanics according to Ra Material

Ra described the Harvest as a periodic, natural process occurring at the end of a major cycle — typically 75,000 years, consisting of three 25,000-year sub-cycles. Ra describes the current Earth cycle as a 75,000-year third density cycle now approaching its end. Earth's current Harvest is described as unique in that it includes not just the end of a 75,000-year cycle but the end of a much larger galactic cycle — a fact Ra described as drawing extraordinary attention from civilizations across the galaxy, many of which send emissaries and wanderers to assist. The wanderer class — souls from higher densities who voluntarily reincarnate in third density to aid a planet's awakening — is described as particularly numerous on Earth at this time precisely because the stakes of Earth's Harvest extend beyond a single planetary cycle.

Loosh harvesting

Independent of the Ra material, Robert Monroe — founder of the Monroe Institute and pioneer of out-of-body experience research — described encountering a concept he called "loosh" during OBE explorations in the early 1980s. In Far Journeys (1985), Monroe recounts being given a "rote" (compressed information packet) by nonhuman intelligences describing Earth as a farm designed to produce a substance called Loosh: "Someone, Somewhere (or both, in millions, or uncountable) requires, likes, needs, values, collects, drinks, eats, or uses as a drug a substance ident Loosh... This is a rare substance in Somewhere, and those who possess Loosh find it vital for whatever it is used for."

Monroe describes "Someone" constructing a Garden (Earth) through successive crop experiments — First Crop (microorganisms), Second Crop (plants), Third Crop (large animals) — before discovering that conflict among mobile carbon-oxygen-cycle beings produced Loosh of dramatically higher purity and quantity. The Fourth Crop — humans — was engineered specifically to produce maximum Loosh through the interplay of conflict, love, loss, and emotion. Monroe's entities further describe this as a system in which the "Prime Catalyst" — conflict among carbon-oxygen cycle units — "brings forth consistent emanations of Loosh."
