Dries

The Dries are a non-human species from two home worlds orbiting Aghraban (Iota Ceti) in the Cetus constellation. About 8 feet tall with light blue skin and luminous eyes, they have an elongated skull of complex structure and are reproductively dimorphic — females rarely travel in order to focus on maintaining population growth. Officially members of the Galactic Federation of Worlds, their membership is described as a source of ongoing internal tensions given their aggressive, expansionist nature.

History

The Dries colonized forty worlds by force using armies composed of enslaved populations. They maintain ongoing territorial conflicts with the Orion Alliance and the Alpha Draconian Empire. The Dries' planned 2022 revelation was halted, and their Galactic Federation membership subsequently rescinded, when the Galactic Federation of Worlds expelled the Nebu and the Ciakahrr from the Sol system and destroyed the Orion hive, according to a later update to Danaan's account: "The Dries are no longer part of the Galactic Federation of Worlds, although they were for a short time, before their practices got them kicked out."

Contact with Earth

The Dries abduct humans for reproduction experiments and to use as slaves.

Ships

Dries craft take diverse shapes: boomerang, butterfly, or U-shaped.

Independent and cross-cultural sourcing

An earlier document known as the Russian Alien Races Book — a catalogue of extraterrestrial species purportedly compiled by Soviet intelligence and circulated online in PDF form from around 2013, whose authenticity remains disputed — independently carries a Dries entry closely matching Danaan's later account: a height "around 2.5 meters (8')," a "very complex structure of their skull," an origin at the "'third' star In constellation Cetus" with "2 home-planets" of a "chemical composition similar to Earth," and abductions "for Human reproduction" that had, as of one circulating copy dated 2018, "abducted at least 520 Humans (males and females)." A condensed, table-format copy of the same document, dated 2013 in its own file metadata, repeats the colonisation figures Danaan's account later gives almost verbatim — forty planets "colonised... with the help of slaves," ten "taken by force" — alongside the same planned 2022 disclosure and a note that the Dries "work with 3 other races." Galactic Anthropology analyst Joost, reproducing the Russian document's own Dries illustration alongside Danaan's description, read the two as depicting the same species. Joost has separately catalogued the wider set of overlaps and divergences between the Russian document and Danaan's A Gift from the Stars entry by entry.

In the same March 2022 article, Joost speculated that a boomerang- or V-shaped craft with five lights, reported by dozens of witnesses across Ireland on 2 March 2022, might have been a Dries vessel, noting that illustrations of Dries spacecraft in both Danaan's and the Russian document's material show "a V-shape with 5 lights, just like the picture that was placed in the Irish article." Joost subsequently found a further circulating image of the sighting that "surely doesn't look like a Dries-craft at all," and left the identification unresolved.

AGFTS classification

In the A Gift from the Stars index, the Dries are listed under their home star Aghraban (Iota Ceti / Deneb Kaitos) — a designation recorded in the species index as entry 132. Their home worlds share a chemical composition similar to Terra's — one of the rarer cases among abductor species where their biology is specifically adapted to Earth-like conditions, which may relate to their particular interest in human genetics.
