Zatrax
The Zatrax are a Gray-related species from planet Azzar in the XX H2 "Hax" system at Gliese 905 (Ross 248) in the Andromeda constellation. Their world is bathed in a sulfuric acid atmosphere, with streams and seas of liquid hydrogen sulfate; all life on Azzar is acid-based. They are hermaphroditic and reproduce by laying eggs.
Biology
Because they cannot survive outside their native acidic environment without protective equipment, the Zatrax are rarely seen in their true form, though their original appearance has been documented. Their genetic relationship with the broader Gray lineage places them within the extended family of Gray-type species, though their acid-based biochemistry makes them biologically distinct from the oxygen- or nitrogen-atmosphere Grays found elsewhere in Nataru.
